Remotes clash between Fox T2 and new Freesat boxes

I decided to add a new Freesat Recordable 4k box to my Humax Fox T2, but when powering up the Fox T2, it also powers up my the Freesat box. So i used the reset remote freq.
on the Fox T2. I tried all 6 options and nothing works.

Also the Fox T2 remote reverses the action if say the Freesat box is already on and i power up the Fox T2, the Freesat box turns off. So now its back to front.

Trying to change the Freesat remote freq. didnt work, even though i followed the instructions - hold red button + AD button for 3 seconds and then hit Home button. But this never worked.

What make and model is the Freesat Recordable 4k box?

What if you use zero on the HDR Fox T2 to switch it in, rather than power? (But you'll still need to use the power key to place it back into standby.)

There's a clash between the remotes - but how bad is this clash? Ie all buttons, most buttons or some buttons? If it's some buttons - which ones?

Hi
Its made by Arris, and your suggestion of powering on the Fox HDR T2 works like a charm.. As you say though, have to use power button on Fox remote to powe it off, but this then turns on the Arris if its not powered up, or the Fox remote turns the Arris off if the Arris already on

None of the buttons clash apart from the Fox T2 power button

PS only just found the sticker on the packing box. Only got this yesterday so missed the small sticker

Arris model is UHD 4X 500

I believe this is a known issue with the (Arris made) freesat 4k/recordable box
and all Humax PVRs.

No fix as far as I know.

See AVForums and DigitalSpy threads on the Arris / freesat 4k box for confirmation.

Cheers Rodders, been reading the net as well as posting here and just this second found the same as you, a known problem.

Ok, gotta live with it, though its not a major problem.

That could be the answer Rodders, but i'll not bother, as its just a small glitch. Something i can live with. At least the Arris is working fine apart from that

Just leave the HDR Fox T2 on and also set
Menu/settings/system/Power Management/Automatic Power Down to on.
It'll power off after three hours or so of inactivity or manually press the front panel on/off switch. Not ideal, but it should be bearable.
