RIP

RIP Barry.

I had only just come across a podcast in which his son Bob had gathered together a bunch of his pals for a post-lockdown catchup. Only six episodes but an entertaining listen as they tell each other show business anecdotes. It is called Now, Where Were We.

This cartoon (which appeared in The Mail on Sunday) is a brilliant epitaph, if you're a Clue fan:

Barry Crier was a veteran and regular panellist of the Radio 4 game show I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue (AKA "Clue", the best laugh on radio). For those unfamiliar with the gem that is Clue, a frequent round was to sing the words of one song to the tune of another.

Why is the explanation a spoiler?

If you don't know Clue : you will need the explanation

If you do, you don't.

Your logic failed you
