[RS] Problems skipping F1 episodes.

However this is a totally different issue from the one for which the thread was created and which I think still exists when skipping multiple episode within the first 5
That's what I'm testing now (having updated the capitalisation). Coronation Street is currently recording (I can't believe I've just typed that)!
How do the numbers 15952 and 13622 relate to the series and episode CRIDs needed for the skip - I would have expected the crids to be included in the command
They are the service and event IDs for the relevant EPG entry.

After the first of today's episodes completed, the database still looks right.

Code:
humax# nugget schedule.epg 15 | egrep '(CRID|Events|Start):'
Past Events:
    CRID: /248484146
    CRID: /248485438
    CRID: /248485434
Upcoming Events:
    CRID: /248484150
    Start: 1493731800 (Tue May 2 14:30:00 2017)
    CRID: /248484207
    Start: 1493902500 (Thu May 4 13:55:00 2017)

    CRID: /249154179
    Start: 1494336600 (Tue May 9 14:30:00 2017)

/248484146 has jumped from the Upcoming list and is now in the Past list.
14:30 episode now recording..

I was a little worried that they might vary as episodes were skipped leading to the next skip operation in the batch finding and skipping the wrong episode.

I shall try and cease from speculation and start doing what I intended to do today!

.. and after the second episode has recorded, again everything looks fine with this test.

If you do any more testing, please make use of the 'nugget schedule.epg' command to peak at the internal schedule to see if we can work out what's going wrong.
I'll push out the capitalisation update this evening and have a think about maintaining a persistent skip list alongside a recording to handle skipping things further ahead. I'm only just within the limit for this test.

Thanks MymsMan and af123 for taking this up. I am out of the country at the moment and reluctant to do any testing when I am more than an arms length from the Humax.
Will hopefully be back in time to test skipping for F1 at least...

A full F1 schedule is appearing in the EPG with the Monaco GP next weekend

I tried to skip the Practice 1 & 2 sessions on Thursday
Code:
18/05/2017 11:51:10 Successfully scheduled skip for recording.
18/05/2017 11:51:09 F1 Monaco GP Practice 1 Live
18/05/2017 11:51:07 Processing command 'skip 8384.23575'
18/05/2017 11:51:05 Successfully scheduled skip for recording.
18/05/2017 11:51:04 F1 Monaco GP Practice 1 Live
18/05/2017 11:51:03 Processing command 'skip 8384.23570'

but Practice 2 remains in the schedule but with the Practice 1 name
Code:
4
Channel 4 F1 Monaco GP Practice 1 Live
 (Folder: F1) Thu 25 May 2017 12:55
    01:40:00

The Skips table does show both episodes as to be skipped
This may be a variation of the Skip last episode in a series problem since the weekend F1 programmes have not yet made it onto the EPG

This is probably a transient problem that will resolve itself tomorrow when Friday practice appears in the EPG

MymsMan you may have to be patient. Monaco is unique in that it holds practice 1 & 2 on Thursday, has Friday off, then practice 3 and qualifying on Saturday.
I was holding off until Sunday when all the scheduled broadcasts were 'in' before testing the skip function.

Yes we will have to wait until Sunday before skipping the other practice and the warm up and post race shows but my experience with Practice 2 leads me to worry that the skip the last episode problem has been reintroduced.

I am worried that if I try to skip the post-race show it will still show as being scheduled and I am not sure whether or not the skip will actually work.

I have now run through skipping F1 Monaco programs.
There are eight programs of which I skipped six (leaving qualifying and the actual race). All went as expected, including the process to cover the 'can only skip five at a time' on the first run.
I have found only one problem. RS schedule shows just the two programs whereas WebIf still shows the program to be skipped with a line through it (see attached).
I have tried restarting from within Diagnostics and also shutting down using the remote but it stubbornly remains. Unless there is anything further I can do I will leave as is and see what happens.
For peace of mind, I have scheduled the qualifying and race as two sepearte entries on my other machine.

That's deliberate in the beta. The webif list shows which episodes need to be skipped but can't be yet due to the list length limit.

Not quite. It will be deleted as soon as there is space in the skip list. There are 5 available slots and I reserve two for tracking episodes which have been recorded and the other three for skips. Since there are two set up to record, the last one should get skipped as soon as the time for another skipped episode has passed.

I have the latest beta. (I think)
Code:
Web interface version: 1.4.2-3
Custom firmware version: 3.12 (build 3965)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.12)
I have waded through those threads. and I can't find how to actually do it, which is why I asked.:(
The threads are full of techie stuff and trouble shooting and I can't find how to actually do it, which is why I asked.
Do I need RS or anything like that as well as WI beta?
Words of one syllable please.:D

Words of one syllable please
Go to the Visual Schedule display (failed already) on Webif Schedule page, or RS Visual page
Click on show to skip, click on Skip option,
Repeat as needed

Same as before - but now it works
