I am not sure anyone here is foolish enough to own an EZ but you might get lucky and find someone who learnt something from it before returning it for a refund.

A 27 page thread on the EZ and I doubt you will be able to find a single positive comment on the EZ contained in it.
Ok, well the last post on that thread seems to be a year old, and the thread seems to be discussing whether it existed (then). It certainly exists now, and the cordbusters link seems positive. Can't see any mention of anyone returning it, but thanks for the heads up. I'll see if I get any other responses

The last post on the thread was August this year. It went off topic March/April this year. So about five months ago not a year. We know the EZ exists, but as far as we can tell it is as bad as, or worse than, an Aura. Hardly anyone has a long-term experience of an EZ, and given that it is Freely and doesn't record in the way we are used to, it is unlikely to get many converts.
The Cordbusters link may have appeared positive to you as they had not tested it yet. Their post testing review changed , I suggest you read the comments ( comments closed after only 2 days) from people who bought an EZ at the end of this article to get a clear view of why the EZ is almost universally considered to be crap and the worst PVR Humax has ever produced. Cordbusters articles on Freely boxes since this review have all suggested the Pleio and Manhattan products as worth buying and never the EZ and some have even failed to mention the EZ at all. Soon after the EZ was released a single digit amount of people here bought one but all were very unhappy with the product and most if not all returned it and got their money back.

It now seems that the skip forward/backward function is absent or not working (although I can set the skip times in the settings). I'll have a chat with my friendly dealer. Thanks for the alternative recommendations.
