virtual-disk2 currently has the unfortunate side effect of appearing to the Humax firmware as if a USB device has been plugged in shortly after boot, resulting in the 'new media detected' options popping up on screen annoyingly. The simple solution, instead of
virtual-disk2, is to keep a spare UPD in one of the USB sockets.
virtual-disk2 might get a revision in the near future, to ensure it is loaded before the Humax firmware boots. This will prevent the annoying pop-up and make it a no-brainer.
I'm really sorry if you feel I've asked you to spoon-feed me.
I rescinded that comment, but clearly not before you saw it. Read the
OPT+ button as "extra options" - it offers things that cannot be done any other way and should be familiar to all HDR-FOX users. For example: highlight a recording and press
OK, and you will be offered a menu of options including "play" and "delete". Do the same on a failed recording and all that happens is you get a pop-up telling you that the recording failed (although it might play anyway if you pursue it). The problem is, for a recording that really has failed, how to get rid of it? Users only familiar with the
OK menu can't - you have to use the
OPT+ menu (and it is therefore better to use
OPT+ by habit than reaching for
OK every time).
