[tunefix-update] Automated Freeview channel updates

1.0.85:
Remove YourTV
Mux. moves for 700 MHz clearance at:
Dover (Old PSB1, PSB2, PSB3, COM4 and COM5)
Midhurst (PSB2, PSB3 and COM5)
Whitehawk Hill (PSB1, PSB2, PSB3, COM5 and Local)

More Scottish-only shuffling - from RXTV.Log :-

15th October 2019

  • Scotland only: Channel 75 moved to 68 - BBC Four (PSB1 - BBC)
... and from elsewhere on RXTV.Log :-

"However, it's unlikely BBC Four will stay put for too long: Ofcom has decreed that the channel must be moved to a higher ranking slot by the start of 2024, to sit in the top 24 Freeview channel numbers. It remains to be seen which service would have to be relegated as a result.
BBC Four HD, which is available in some parts of Scotland on channel 106, is unaffected by the move, as are viewers in other parts of the UK.
However, with channels 69, 72 and now 75 vacant nationally, viewers everywhere are likely to see some further changes as channels take the opportunity to secure a higher ranking slot on the Freeview channel list."

Wonder what'll happen when BBC Scotland (inevitably) folds and LCN 9 becomes available once more! :roflmao:

Hmm - RXTVLog has changed its tune. Today it says :-

UPCOMING
  • Yaaas - channel 213
  • Scotland only: Channel 75 move to 68 - BBC Four (PSB1 - BBC) change pending
Must have a look at my TVs own tuner tonight to find out the real deal.

Re-tuned my TV this evening for these changes and, on comparison with hummy, realised that there are significant differences.
TV looks fine but hummy is a bit of a mess. On closer inspection it appears that only the first two changes on the above list have been applied.
What may be significant is that I do not have a Sony Movies Classic+1 channel on the TV either. I wonder if this is an anomaly in Scotland or my transmitter - Black hill - because we have wee Nic's very own brand of BBC.
Also, interestingly, webif tells me I'm still on tunefix-update 1.0.90 - so looks like it started 1.0.91 but didn't complete. Don't recall seeing any error message to that effect.

It's only on the G_MAN local mux. in Manchester. I think it unlikely that you'll receive this in sunny Scotland!

It hasn't installed then, which is why everything's wrong. Install it manually and reboot.
