Using an SSD to copy files from T2.

I usually archive stuff I want to keep by using a 32Gb USB stick. I have a 128Gb SSD which I've tried, but after formatting it to Ext3 and FAT32 the still T2 doesn't see it. I'm sure this must have been covered sometime in the forum, but I've done a quick search and found nothing.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I am currently stress-testing a small (128GB) SSD fitted in a USB drive enclosure as the external drive for a HD-FOX, and I just installed it the same as you would a traditional HDD.
 
OK, thanks for that. The housing is USB3, so it may be that. I changed the lead to a USB 1/2 one which works on PC but still no go on T". I'll try another housing.

I've only got around to having another go at this today. I've swapped the SSD for a 2.5" 500 Gbyte HDD, also formatted to FAT32, and it works fine, so it looks like its just the SSD that is the problem. I'll have another play with the SSD when I have the time.
