Forum's gone quiet, perhaps we can have a quote throw-down?

Where were you (if you were even born!) when HHGTTG first went out as a radio broadcast? I was at uni, trying to listen to it on a transistor radio while out with the walking club of a Sunday.

Nothing wrong with dog's milk. Full of vitamins, full of goodness, full of marrowbone jelly. Lasts longer than any other kind of milk, no bugger will drink it. The big advantage of dog's milk is it tastes exactly the same when it's gone off as when it was fresh.

It was first broadcast somewhere between my A Levels and University first year. It wasn't until someone at uni kept banging on about it that I gave it a listen - whenever it was repeated.

I try not to overthink where cow's milk comes from. Dog's (or any other animal's) milk is a step to far for me. Don't like to think of how an almond or soya is "milked". It tastes foul (to me) anyway.

According to Wiki, the first episode went out at 10.30pm on Wednesday 8th March 1978. Either the Sunday broadcast was a repeat or a very early example of the GD/EoT principle. Not as uncommon as you might think: Wiki lists more than 80 films that depend on this device.
