The point is that this was unexpected, otherwise I'm certain that some kind of a warning would have been provided. Developers cannot foresee every eventuality even though they do try very hard to achieve this goal. Continually repeating your point about a lack of warning, after being provided with a solution is counter productive. I believe they got the message the first time.
