It strips out certain elemental streams - the one I can think of off the top of my head is the NIT.I have always assumed the HDR-FOX simply grabs the data and stuffs it into a file. If it is actually massaging the data on the way, what else might it be fiddling with?!
Or do a proper job of the ones it /does/ strip out. The PAT (programme allocation table) is left untouched including references to now-deleted tables. This is what causes problems with playback on certain DLNA clients. It's a shame it doesn't also strip out the other redundant elements then!
Does Shrink remove the PAT and so would running it solve the problems with DLNA playback?Or do a proper job of the ones it /does/ strip out. Program Association Table. The PAT (programme allocation table)
No and no. The PAT is a fundamental requirement of MPEG transport streams.Does Shrink remove the PAT and so would running it solve the problems with DLNA playback?
Normally I would agree with you, but in this specific instance it is actually "Program" as defined by the spec. It's programme in English.
