WebIF install after HD Format

Many thanks af123, all installed now and just tweaking settings.

Do I need to align the hard drive blocks for 4k? I have run the 4kalign diagnostic and it gave me the following info but it means nothing to me:

Thank you Martin.

This info should be on the Wiki as there is nothing other than "Run a check on your hard drive for 4K block alignment"

Your 1 line statement is as clear as it gets.

But the output from 4kalign should be as clear as it gets. This is what I see (note last few lines):

Code:
Running: 4kalign

--> This is an Advanced Format (AF) drive.

    Model Number:       ST2000VM003-1CT164
    Logical  Sector size:                   512 bytes
    Physical Sector size:                  4096 bytes
    Logical Sector-0 offset:                  0 bytes
    Nominal Media Rotation Rate: 5900

Disk /dev/sda: 2000 GB, 2000396321280 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 243201 cylinders, total 3907024065 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1              64     2104575     1060258   83  Linux
/dev/sda2         2104576  3886043175  1941969330   83  Linux
/dev/sda3      3886043176  3907024064    10482412   83  Linux

*  OK   * - partiton /dev/sda1 is properly aligned.
*  OK   * - partiton /dev/sda2 is properly aligned.
*  OK   * - partiton /dev/sda3 is properly aligned.

The difference in output is interesting.
It looks like one is from sfdisk and the other is from gfdisk.
There is a small bug in 4kalign that can call "sfdisk -pul ..." which isn't a supported option (-p that is).
I guess this accounts for the lack of the final block of messages.

As you can see from my screen grab Martin the last few lines for your report are not shown on mine.
Because of the previously mentioned bug.
I don't think Martin can be on the latest firmware. Perhaps he could confirm, and whether /sbin/sfdisk exists?

You haven't been paying attention BH. The impossible he does in nanoseconds. It's the miracles he has real problems with. Must be something to do with his upbringing.:roflmao:
