[webif] Web interface

For what it's worth, I've just upgraded okay from webif 0.8.13-1 to 0.9.0-1 and I still have a pie.

There was a little oddness however - having used the webif to do 'Package Management -> Update package list from internet' I initially saw 4 packages that could be updated.
These were busybox, webif, and I think jim-oo and jim-sqlite.

For no particularly good reason, I individually upgraded busybox, then jim-oo and at that point the webif stopped showing me any available upgrades.
However, then clicking the 'Upgrade all packages' button upgraded webif and jim-sqlite3, removing jim-pack in the process (I was paying more attention at that point after the upgrades list went blank) and all seem well, from a superficial look round.

For reference, I have no external disks / devices attached (and never have so far), and diskspace.jim produces the following currently with an up to date jim-oo

HTML:
        <span style="float: right;
            background:url('/images/345_1_27_ST_USB_BG.png')
            no-repeat">
                <img src=/images/345_2_14_ST_HDD_02.png>
        </span>

        <span style="float: right">
                <br>
                Total space: 447.6G<br>
                Used: 22.3G (5%)
        </span>

I did a similar thing to you, and saw the same.:)

Shame, I was hoping that might help, since I'd somehow failed to spot the Upgrade All button previously...

Just to sanity check we're talking about the same thing since I'm new in these parts - I'm assuming your missing pie is the disk usage graphic that's normally prevalent in the top right corner of the web interface..?

webIf will not update because of error:

>>> opkg upgrade webif

wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Upgrading webif on root from 0.8.13-1 to 0.9.0-1...

Downloading http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/webif_0.9.0-1_mipsel.opk.

Collected errors:

* opkg_download: Failed to download http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/webif_0.9.0-1_mipsel.opk, wget returned 1.

* opkg_install_pkg: Failed to download webif. Perhaps you need to run 'opkg update'?

Any suggestions please?

I had updated opkg as I always do before updating. I have updated again using telnet but still get same error. Two other updates at the same time were successful.

I have just tried to watch another HD recording, and got a grey screen with an error message

The VLC Multimedia plugin has crashed

My pie chart is fine, and yes you assume correctly.:)

Ooops sorry, confusing you with the poor unfortunate who's lacking not only a pie chart but also letters in their username.
Feel free to blame old age, terrible forum etiquette, my poor short term memory or fermented grape juice. Chances are, you'll be right.

And to post something on-topic: the Play button works for me in Firefox (VLC doesn't seem to have a Chrome plugin out of the box) on a non-decrypted HD recording. No transport controls though.

I have rebooted several times and no change. HDRmode shows the same symptoms re: Piechart.

I'm using Firefox also, have you noticed that the transport controls are there, but invisible.;)

Rebooting my HDR on it's own did not work for me, so I cleared my browser history and restarted my web interface as well, and then it worked.

It's my telephone number. :D
Fair enough. If you do need some letters, I'm sure I've got some spare lying around here I could send you :)

As brian suggested, clearing your browser cache might be worth a try, especially since you said earlier I think that the presence of your pie is intermittent (not a phrase I imagined saying when I got up this morning).

Yes, but would they all be spelled out in the phonetic alphabet? :)

The problem of no Piechart is not intermittent. It is missing from some pages but not on others, Main being one of them.
Perhaps it is part of my treatment: fewer pies!

Hi Guys

I noticed this morning that the WebIf had an upgrade to intall, I clicked "Install" and the following error message appeared:

>>> opkg upgrade webif

wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Any idea what I need to do?

Cheers

Andrew
