From within PuTTY I used the command line "cli", followed by "rs register (my e-mailaddress)" - presumably it has the same sort of effect as rs/sync or rs/chanpush when run from the web-if. I really must stick with the web-if diagnostics in future - I'd forgotten about them! That's the trouble...
Thanks chaps - in the end I took the bull by the horns and used the PuTTY access to re-register the box and that's done the trick - I now have "WEST" showing in the RS site's settings and the missing stations are back so I clearly was right on the right track to enter the MUXES manually as I was...
Having moved recently from the London area, and retuned my box (my mast is now Mendip) as I live near Bridgwater, the tuning process asked if I wanted England or Wales. However, this didn't filter everything I wanted out and I still had a shed-load of '800s' including BBC 1 Wales.
To start...
Not so much a tale of woe, just a salutary warning.
Bought a BT-badged DTR T1000 a while back, which with alarming predictability went t***-up in a few months.
It was under an extended warranty from Currys, who changed it for the DTR T2110.
This operated well until I mothballed it recently as...
I have to admit that I'd never bothered to find out till I read this having only just got the 2110 as a replacement for a dead T1000, but yes, holding down the right silver cursor button does scroll continuously on mine. Also, the >> button moves up a day at a time. Maybe we've got different...
Well certainly on the T2110, the option to select pass-through is still there when hi-eco mode is also selected. If it wasn't intended to work, then wouldn't it be 'greyed-out'?
I thought it was funny my LG TV repeatedly showed 'No Signal'. I checked the loop-through settings on the T2110, only to confirm that it was supposedly turned on, which it clearly isn't as the TV's signal comes back , as soon at I turn the box on.
It's OK if I turn off high eco-mode in favour...
If my experience is anything to go by, then the answer to the OP is 'Yes'. My BT-Badged T1000 continued to suffer the occasional failed recording, usually on BBC3, and then after 6 months, just got stuck in a 'Nearly There' loop which no amount of resetting via the Maintenance screen would...
But that would mean that my latest back-up only has one entry (or none), when in fact, it was perfectly intact when re-instated via the restore back-up routine. It's just the automatic restore aspect that's not working for me.
Sorry, it's worse than I thought. I uninstalled disable-ota, and tried again. Still no restored timers despite a full 30 second power-off and re-boot after retuning once more. I'd never tried auto-schedule-restore before so I can't say if it worked before the latest CF came out. Maybe a clash...
I had a feeling this wasn't working after the latest firmware and CF versions were installed recently.
Last week I ran a re-tune, after first backing up my timers. After a reboot, as expected there were no timers, so I ran a restore and all was well.
Since then I've added...
I've got a BT-badged (but bought at Currys) DTR-T1000. I think we've already established that this is subject to BT's schedule of software releases despite being nothing to do with BT-rented services - I'm on Virgin Cable.
However, I've read elsewhere that BT have now started to release the...
Sorry, Brian - I now see that it was Signature that I should have been editing. The fact that what I had typed into 'About Me' and 'Signature' started out the same was what threw me.
