5. Humax HDR-Fox T2 won't connect to TV Portal
  
  Not sure if this will help but thought it worth posting just in case. Have seen some reports that BT home hub has a smart setup option that can interfere with iPlayer. If yours has you could try turning that option off on the home hub...

  Now I'm feeling silly. I had set it to record via RS with a search string of "Saturday Night Takeaway" years ago and it's recorded fine each series. Just double checked and I'd set the channel to BBC1 - didn't realise my wife had been setting it to record manually on the box when my RS search...

  The gaps appear when a programme in the first column is long I think this is may be by design E.g. At 10:30am today on now shows programmes on now On next shows programmes on at 11am but is grey if the programme on now continues beyond 11am On later shows programmes on at 12:00 noon but again...

10. RS EPG problem
  
  Have done rs epg offer which executed without errors. Problem remains - gray boxes in exactly the same places but only when viewed using the sequence of commands I listed. In grid view and on initial login to rs there are no grey gaps. The EPG data all seems to be there just not displaying...

Humax HDR-Fox T2 won't connect to TV Portal

Not sure if this will help but thought it worth posting just in case. Have seen some reports that BT home hub has a smart setup option that can interfere with iPlayer. If yours has you could try turning that option off on the home hub...
