Title says it all but when I select a programme for recording I'm sometimes offered a "recommended" programme also. It's mildly irritating but more so because it's yet to recommend anything I'm remotely interested in ;)
Is there a setting I've not found or do I jusy take another patience and...
Ezra, I take your point but is this sort of thing common, or have I just been unlucky? At least nobody's said I'm inept (yet). I'm heading for the padding route, I think; as you say, at least, then I'm in control.
I've read the advice and links re AR as opposed to padded recording and I decided to try the AR way of doing things. Reset my padding to OFF and let it run...
Very impressed on the whole, but I have had 2 recordings which have missed the last 2 or 3 mins (hard to tell but they were nearly...
Thanks, BH, the link I referred to is yours and it's great for someone who is catching up on progress after using a 9200 for quite a few years before HD, HDMI, AR and all these other new-fangled things. Isn't progress wonderful?
Thanks, I'd not realised just what AR is and your link is really helpful. Food for thought as we're away for a couple of weeks soon and I'm hooked on these Danish dramas on BBC4.
I've read about Freeview+ being clever enough to tell the recorder when the programme actually starts (if it's delayed for the footie for example) so that no part of it is missed by the recorder. Does that mean that I no longer need to pad the programme? I currently have 2 mins early and 5 mins...
Hi Guys, Sorry to be slow coming back. Thanks Ezra. Brianmt - I think Vista is the cause of all my problems, I've had Win 7 on the shelf since launch but I'm short on courage for running the upgrade as I'd be up the creek if it went wrong. I might build a new box and use it on that and move to...
I've recently upgraded from a 9200 to HDR T-2 and first impressions are very good. However, a couple of things I've not been able to find answers to here (or elsewhere).
1. The status display on the front panel is shown in the manual without a decode. I'm happy with the HDD contents gauge on...
Thanks to all. your help has been great. My current set up is as follows and seems to work fine - but feel free to suggest a better way if there is one, I'm the beginner here.
TV to DVD recorder by HDMI
Hummy to DVD Recorder by scart so Hummy is on as AV2 for recording
Hummy to TV by scart so I...
Yes, I will, may be a couple of days as there's a couple of cables in the post.It would be great if this forum was to grow into a worthy successor to hummy.org.uk - I always found patience and helpful advice there, here's hoping. Thanks to those responsible for setting it up and hosting it.
Hi,
I'm hoping this will be just as good as hummy.co.uk and that one of the gurus will be able to help me. We've just made the jump from an elderly analogue CRT TV to a new set-up with a Toshiba "posh telly" and DVD recorder/player with Freeview tuner from LG. The only remnant of the old system...
