Sorry, I didn't get a chance to reply before. The webif error log did end up with the same errors after reboot and deleting the queue database stopped this filename causing this error, thanks very much for the suggestion and fix, one to remember!
prpr - I will keep an eye on it, I think those were from when I had issue a while back but I will check current queue and remove like you say.
I have renamed a completely different recording with it's filename to this (and the other three associated files) and webif fails at that point too...
Only this... no dates on entries but 5 times.
/mod/webif/lib/queue.class:210: Error: database disk image is malformed
in procedure 'entry' called at file "/mod/webif/html/browse/index.jim", line 328
in procedure 'queue' called at file "/mod/webif/html/browse/index.jim", line 213

Is there an issue with filenames containing ! or should they be filtered out by the Humax? Web-if would not show anything beyond the program "Metalworks!", I thought maybe to do with following two filenames extra blank chars etc. so renamed those using telnet but no good. Renamed the four...
I would LIKE the channels that work best to use AR and others to use padding, I've just set them all back to padding through that for now in case it has been part of the empty recordings issue but suspect not.
Thanks for the response, I'm hoping there is some log that shows what it is trying to...
Thanks, no I only use the traditional 'needs a reboot' amendment to schedules form the webif, most of them are long standing one set from the TV. I have it set on the TV interface with padding of 1min / 1min I think and did (inadvertently) not have the multi-mode app installed since replacing...
Recently changed the drive from an "always full" 1Tb drive which seemed to be increasingly suffering from disc issues to 2Tb one which seems fine. Seemingly unrelated to that, we used to have problems with empty recordings and they seem to be worse than ever over last couple of weeks to the...
As follow up we haven't had a single problem with break up on recordings since turning off the background processing option during recordings - must just have been too much going on with the extra work. I don't know why it has only recently started happening but doesn't matter, works perfectly...
Thanks, for starters I have turned off the auto-processing during some of the evening hours it is most likely to be in use and disabled it during recording - I hadn't noticed that option before to specifically disable during record, but quite possible it was still trying to work on decrypting...
After a quick bit of advise please where I should look for an issue we've been having for a while.
In summary problem is watching HD recordings we get a lot of break up like it had bad signal with picture breaking up and sound dropping out, I've only noticed it on HD recordings and gets a lot...
To finish this off... the disk check kept getting stuck around 20% but refreshing the telnet window with Return every now and again kept it running OK and a couple of hours later problem corrected and HDR back to normal. Still don't know what was stopping the partition unmounting but thanks...
Sorted I hope. I'd never used the lazy option before on umount. Nothing showing in different process lists still but umount -l ... and it just did this time :-) Ok it's going to trickle through running fsck for ages (stuck at 3.2% for a while so far) but it is running now so lots of things...
Thanks again. Will try some of those when I get a slot on the telly later and keep digging. If all else fails I'll pull the files off it or try and fix it offline on a pc I suppose.
Thanks, odd isn't it... normally when we get a read only file system on a Linux box say is easy enough to fix but seems not on this ... this is after fresh reboot to maintenance mode after fresh power up from mains off. That was what I was seeing with lsof, i.e. only itself and associated progs...
Thanks for very quick reply and delay relying again. Yes I tried umount -f on it from cli but wouldn't unmount still, tried to run fsck directly but of course can't unount.... looking back at the web-if now it says, for instance looking for new packages:
>>> opkg update
wget: can't open...
Currently sat in front of Humax having had small operation and not wanting to move frankly and trying to fix it from laptop... I have trawled through forum and wiki and getting nowhere at the moment.
Issues just recently have been:
Items deleted from the TV remote don't disappear "deleting"...
Pretty sure we've seen combinations of recordings appear from, Channel 4, Channel 4HD, Channel 4+1, and Channel 47 I think it was from a single chosen series record on the remote control before now and just removed the duplicates as we watch them.
Agreed, use the foxlink package or other network based sharing should do it if it only crashing when playing back, we have two HD working with one HDR and to other sources fine - http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/foxlink-simple-way-to-link-a-hd-to-a-hdr.2974/ / http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Foxlink
