Unable to make 2nd recording
There were no other scheduled or instant recordings. The only 2 shows recorded after 1am were the two shown on the screenshot. Something about my existing Click series link caused the box to think there was a Clash when plainly there was not.- sceptic

Unable to make 2nd recording
I had a bit of a weird issue tonight. I went to setup a 2nd scheduled recording via the UI and the STB reported a recording conflict even though only 1 other recording was scheduled at that time period. I ended up having to delete the series link for Click so I could setup the link for the...- sceptic

Internal HDD Problem
My Synology NAS is a 5 disk NAS (using SHR) which is soon to be expanded to 10 (2 arrays of 5) via an expansion unit. Connecting 5 HDD's to my main PC would not be a problem as it already has 6 HDD's connected as a RAID 5 data partition which I could disconnect temporarily if required. The main...- sceptic

Internal HDD Problem
I use a Synology NAS to backup and centralise all my content. It's nearly reached capacity with 4TB drives but can be expanded via 2 additional expansion units. I'm using Synology's Hybrid RAID (SHR) so a hardware failure on the main unit would be a worry. Thankfully spare parts are available...- sceptic

Multi-room setup: how would you do it?
I purchased 4 'faulty' units that the seller packaged as a single stack (one unit on top of another) in a flimsy box. Suffice to say the bottom two cases were very dented due to the weight, which was annoying as they were in much better condition when they were listed. I also bought another one...- sceptic

Works fine for me on Chrome. prpr Looks like the differences between the various plugs are covered HERE. I thought the web site was ok, in fact the API documentation is pretty good compared to some I have seen...! (see HERE)- sceptic

How many external USB drives can we use with an HDR-FOX T2? And what type of multi-port USB hub?
Or make use of a NAS mount with [network-shares-automount], I have around 12TB of recordings centrally available that way, with the added benefit of some additional fault tolerance over single HDD's...- sceptic

Sounds good! Would this proposal cover the problem where a broadcaster drops a particular showing from time to time during a series run, which normally causes the series link to silently die prematurely for anyone who chose to series link that particular timeslot... ? Another annoyance of mine...- sceptic

I used to have Devolos and had trouble over time requiring them to be rebooted every few days. Then one day just out the warranty period 2 of my 3 units died completely (no lights). I have since switched to Solwise AV 1200's now and these have been problem free and fast!- sceptic

Too good to be true: new and used FVP-4000T on sale
There does seem to be an influx of Chinese listings on eBay of late. I recently came across some listings for new WD Red 4TB HDD's at ridiculous prices. If it sounds too good to be true...- sceptic

For Windows I would recommend PuTTY over the built in Telnet client, available from HERE (Developer Tools section)- sceptic

If you have an Android device, download a network scanner, like Fing, which will then scan your network and hopefully find your Humax box. If found, you can 'Scan Services' to check what ports it has open and optionally connect. You could also do this from your Windows PC with some freeware like...- sceptic

A bit off topic, but I used to have 3 Devolo dLAN 500 AVTriple+ units and used to have nothing but trouble with them. They would be fine for a period of time of then the performance would gradually degrade requiring a reboot to restore them. Then one day just outside the warranty period 2 of the...- sceptic
