I mentioned this a few weeks ago in another thread (so it probably got overlooked) but I retuned last night and let the package do it stuff and after the reboot I again noticed that both my channel 5 entries (Gotham and The Gadget Show) had not been restored.
I could see from the number of...
I only seem to be affected on channel 5 (although not really attempted to provoke the bug on another channel). What about the change folder on the scheduled events not working on channel 5 either? Am I the only one seeing this?
Just done a re-tune and it restored the schedule (auto-schedule-restore package) but I noted that channel 5 recordings for The Gadget Show and Gotham were missing. I re-added these using the guide on the Humax itself but then attempted to change the folder name to remove the "New:" prefix...
Here's a config file I use on my FOXSAT-HDR Freesat box for www.dsndynamic.org:

Has there been an official Humax release for 1.02.31 for the HD model?
If so, can someone point me to a download? The HD is not hooked up to the outside world so I have no reason to install the CFW on it.
I have often thought that a handy addition to the services page would be to allow the enabling and disabling of the inadyn package (the Foxsat-HDR web interface allows this). Currently I have to telnet in and rename the relevant file (S90 to Z90) to stop the service when I don't need it.
For FreeDNS in the Hostname box on the settings page simply use:
xxx.xxxx.xxx,<user name hash>
and it should work.
I have just signed up and I set a fake IP on my FreeDNS account and then rebooted the Humax and it updated it to the correct IP.
At the moment I can't yet seem to get the...
I recently stumbled across this:
http://sonycic.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1878/
Seems that regardless of whether or not it is part of the Freeview HD spec, Sony updated the firmware on at least one model of TV to remove the prompt entirely:
I normally do just use manual but I thought I would experiment! I read somewhere a few weeks ago what Network Scan did (can't find the article at the moment) so I thought I would give it ago.
Incidentally, since moving to 1.03.06 auto scan actually appears to work. I am in an area where I can...
It does not scan the entire UHF band looking for muxes with the same network ID. I believe each mux carries extra data which holds the frequencies of all other muxes broadcasting from that TX and it uses this information to tune to each of those specified muxes in turn. Obviously something is...
Just retuned the HDR but instead of doing an automatic scan which takes ages I thought I would clear the channel list (i.e. start a scan and then abort) and then perform a manual scan with network search enabled.
From Sutton Coldfield there are 8 muxes and the frequencies are:
SD - 39, 42...
I wonder if it would be possible to enhance this to add enabling/disabling of this to the service management section?
I noticed that the Foxsat-HDR version of this add-on allows you to do this.
@Ezra Pound - I'm as surprise as you. I posted over on DS that I was surprised there was no sign of COM7 running 24/7 tests (and got "flamed"):

I haven't tried to replicate but here is the sequence of events (as far as I can remember - this was several weeks ago) that led mine to exhibit the behaviour.
Sunday evening - set power on timer for 10AM, off timer for 6PM. Left unit powered up - it did its Sunday night recordings.
Sunday...
Nice one af123 - just installed this package! With the amount of changes that seem to happen on Freeview I guess it won't be long before I get to try it out!
Many thanks.
Came off holiday on Tuesday and cancelled the on/off timers. Noticed later that day when the box was on as that the fan package was working again and has worked ever since. Make of it what you want - it will be interesting to see if when I am away over the Xmas period as to whether it plays up...
So I guess at the 10AM boot any ota update event would have been removed and its just a fluke that the humax stb process has stepped in and added another ota update event to the schedule. The box will switch off at 6PM and awake for its scheduled recordings tonight at 9:30 (ish) so I guess the...
I know when I have been at home and have left the box in standby for 4 or 5 days* and just let it do its daily recording from standby then auto update events start appearing. To stop this I wait until the box is in proper standby so pressing the power button causes a "proper" boot of the box and...
