detectads not working for new directories
I am puzzled as to why detectads only works on files within directories that have been flagged to detect ads. When a new series is recorded I have to manually go and set the option on this new directory and all then works. How should I configure detectads to work on all non-BBC recordings? I...- Robert4583

Can't Install Webif after disc replacement
After replacing HD and reformating it when prompted I was not presented with a way to fully install the webif and packages. The box appears to be all working but when connecting via the web it displays 'No internal disk found' and no prompt to install the webif. I tried humax# opkg install...- Robert4583

Living in fear...
Nobody has suggested just cleaning the contacts if it's just a case of some buttons nolonger working. There are videos on uTube showing how easy it is to do. It certainly worked for me.- Robert4583

Thanks. I ran fixweb. The only error was file_md5sum_alloc: Failed to open file /mod/webif/html/favicon.ico: No such file or directory. but otherwise that seems to have fix it. The only thing now is I cannot find the backups for the EPG. I would like to do a restore after the retune.- Robert4583

500 Internal Server Error
I was just doing an update of one of the packages when things went tits up. I am not sure what happened exactly but now I can no longer connect to the T2 via the web browser. The only other symptom was all the channels were lost and a manual scan couldn't find the normal channels from Waltham...- Robert4583

Yes the download completes but I have not tried viewing it yet. I have seen elsewhere people complaining about the same error and then the download not giving the best format by default. I have used the -f parameter to specify the best format. It is not just the BBC that is causing the error...- Robert4583

I have been successfully downloading shows from www.dplay.co.uk. My only problem was there are no subtitles available. Is that just a lack in the service provided or do I need to do something extra?- Robert4583

Did anybody else missed Modus last night?
I used the 'saved last streamed' feature of the web-if so all is not lost but just an annoying hassle. And that I have lost all faith in the box actually saving what is scheduled. But all in all this Humax model is still the best thing out there otherwise we would not all be talking about it...- Robert4583

Yes, internet connection, that was my first thought. I went into settings on the box and confirmed that the ip address and everything look right and it said it was connected. As I said I tried ping and it did not work. So I just happen to try the webpage again and this time it worked except for the error "Cannot create symlink from var/mongoose to '../webif': File exists.". I don't know if that is important. I have just reloaded ver 1.03.12 of the firmware. Not sure it really reloaded as it did not take more than 30 seconds. And guess what? You will never guess. Yep it did not fix it. I see cannot see the portal page.- Robert4583
