Aha, I can now see the *.mp4 file on my HD but I get an error message "Cannot Support This File".
Yet I can put it on a memory stick and watch it local? Also I can stream to my iPad and watch this file??
I'm stuck???
Thanks, Jon.
Hi, can anybody help me?
Custom firmware is on my HDR but I have a problem with MediaTomb. If I copy a *.TS file onto the virtual disk I can see it on my Fox HD under a folder called Video.
However if I copy an unprotected *.mp4 to virtual I cannot see it? if there are no other files on...
Does the EPG keywords web interface depend on the SMTP email settings just above af123? I'm stuck setting it up?
P.s. Keep up the good work, very much appreciated.
I have installed it today. Both on my HDR and HD. My main reason is a poor feature set from Humax I.e the poor (in my opinion) media server just released by Humax. The custom one is a lot better. Also I use FTP access a lot and now have it on my HD. I'm chuffed with it on both my boxes. Keep up...
I have to say, I used this thread
www.avforums.com/.../1335706-full-instructions-upgrading-humax-hdr-fox- t2-2tb-hard-drive.html
Very good and I went for the WD Drive listed in there as it was tested and worked. Looking back at it I wish I would have gone for the Samsung Spinpoint. Having...
Does anybody know if it is possible to put a 3Tb Drive into a HDR?
I've already gone up to 2Tb but I'm starting to run out of space, if not then i'll have to got for a external??
Thanks, Jon.
Oh no, what would be my options then? Does the HDR support playlists in videos if I rip them all individually?
Or what about twonky media server, would that give me DVD like playback off a NAS or PC?
Jon.
Hi all,
Can anybody help me with chapters in Mp4 files, or any file type of that matter that will work on my HDR.
I'm looking to get my Music DVD's onto the box and would like to keep either the DVD menu system or just to create chapters in the combined running of the DVD for easier access to...
For the DLNA client I would like to use a Fox T2 in my bedroom. It just makes sense for me. Otherwise I've got to record two seperate instances of a program if I choose to watch in another room, start the export process as we do know, to unencrypt onto a usb stick and then plug into my other...
Mmm, sounds good. Have you used the dlna then on the early betas. I though the recording would have been encrypted like they are now so only good with humax boxes?
Or will it decrypt on the fly like when we transfer onto an external USB?
Jonno
Is there any news out there about firmware updates? I know it's not that long since the last one, but I was at least expecting Sky Player by now? They do like to dangle a carrot in front of you and then take it away.
Also various other bugs in the system like when I skip in a recording it...
Mmm, I've been looking at the line up and it's not full sport on ESPN. Yes they have some good stuff like football, but I won't watch that rugby or the other stuff on there like the basketball.
Recording does sound an issue though? Wonder if that problem will be the same on the HDR?
I am...
Anybody had a go with a CAM in this box? I've had a quick google and found that ESPN might work with a TopUp TV CAM, but I'm interested to see if anybody has had any success with Sky Sports?
With the lack of sky player on the TV Portal due to it being delayed/pulled whatever?? I thought I might...
I don't know, I've not got any wmv's to test with, ive only got mkv, mp4 and avi's.
I've also used AVC to encode avi files for the HDR when I've needed to join files together.
I'll find out the details later for you.
Jon.
Ah right I'll leave that alone then. Out of interest I've just experimented with getting recordings off the box (as per another post on the forum) and a sd recording off BBC was 3444kbps. A lot higher bitrate than what I've been using. Anybody know if it would be worth going this high on rips...
I just encode using Handbrake. I've got two presets one for SD and one for HD. If anyone uses Handbrake. My main problem was audio support within the container. As you can see from below I've not stored any AC3 audio rips on the HDR yet? Anybody else had a go?
SD:
Container: MP4
Picture: keep...
Got what might turn out to be a daft question?
My HDR is set to 1080p using a HDMI cable. This is fine for freeview.
But when i play a BD Rip I've put on the HDD it outputs really bad. It stretches full screen horizontally and looks very pixelated? The film was ripped at 720p.
So I've had a...
