I'm not sure myself exactly where those folders live. They are set up when one installs nicesplice and nicesplice magic folders, and are visible on the Humax itself or in the web interface. Following your suggestion, I do see a lot of files in [cut] that are not directly visible in the web...- danco

What is using the space?
The [cut] folder i my [edit] folder is showing 9 GiB used. But when I open the folder, there are just the three basic directories with size a few kilobytes, and no indicidual files. What reason can there be for this? If the space is taken up by invisible files, can they be made visible?Or is...- danco

HDR FOX T2 - does the tuner fall over at low temperatures?
Just an additional data point. I have been having similar issues lately. My Humax is in a warm room. My TV is an old analogue one, so no point of comparison. Not decrypting
I'll try the auto-decrypt on an individual folder, as that was had worked in the past, and there are several other files in the folder to decrypt. I had thought that probably it was an error on my part. But you are suggesting there may be an issue with the recursive auto-decrypt. If there is...- danco

Safe to auto-decrypt and auto-shrink My Video?
Is it safe to put the Humax into standby if auto-decrypt is going on, or is this likely to confuse decryption of the current file? I ask because currently the web interface isn't working, and the reason seems to be that the Internet Settings show "network disconnected". So I was thinking of...- danco

Thanks. I can now see a DEC symbol for a couple of files. What confused me is that they weren't the first two files in the alphabetical (or date) order. Also, none of my files (all SD) show an ENC flag . And I guess nothing has been shrunk yet because it is too busy decrypting; at any rate there...- danco

TS to MPEG and Editing ... Probably "noobie" questions
MPEG Streamclip worked fine with transferred files from my old Humax (9200). But files transferred from the Fox T2 won't open properly, they give a white screen. I don't know what the difference is. I found that passing the files through VLC first (I forget the actual setting as I haven't done...- danco

The Linux versions probably work on a Mac, given that they seem to be written in Python. But installation isn't so easy if one is not used to the command line. XBMC and Cocoa wget are straightforward Mac programs that anyone should be able to install and use, though I don't know if they are...- danco

Renaming did not work for me. But passing the file through another program to convert it worked fine. Then I could use MPEG Streamclip to edit the file. I would not even need to use the other program (VisualHub) if I did not want to edit.- danco

I had just found the solution using the log file an hour or so ago. Right-clicking on the item is even better. The file downloaded by wget is a bit weird, though. Plays fine in VLC. What Can We Do To Help?
The solution to getting the media ID from XBMC turns out to be really easy. I use a Mac, so I don't know where the relevant file would be on a PC. XBMC produces a log file, and the ID is in that, and can easily be read off by eye. Alternatively, it should not be difficult to create a program...- danco
