      I've just bitten the bullet and updated to latest official firmware and then installed latest custom firmware. My loader version is still 7.30. Should it have updated to 7.31 or is that a separate update? Any comments appreciated.

      I've had this happen as well whilst playing around. I tried powering down to standby but the epg still wouldn't work (as you say remote channel buttons and program up and down did). Ended up having to power off with the switch at the back.

      Just like to comment that thanks are due to those working on the custom firmware and webif. The save last streamed content is brilliant. A couple of questions though. Should I disable automatic OTA upates if using the custom firmware ? If a scheduled update takes place will that overwrite...

      Yes that is interesting, I noticed that myself. I have followed Humax Support instructions. I.e. Factory Default - no change. Manual Retune - no change. Full reformat - appears fixed, no problems 2 evenings in a row. So it looks like the HD was getting it's knickers in a twist !!
