Oh dear, I can’t offer anything else but to say that, although I don’t use Netflix, I pressed the button and the banner opened up as I would expect to see.
When you say that the remote is fine, have you checked that the power button flashes when you press Netflix? Individual buttons can fail, so the rest might be fine, but not that one.
Also, have you tried it from the Players tab after pressing the Freeview Play button (red F)?
I am talking about the settings in “PVR Settings/Recording Options”. I have both Start Padding Time and End Padding Time set to Auto. (See also Post 6)
I am assuming this what others are referring to as AR.
Edit: The accuracy of the start/stop on auto may not be so good on some of the lesser...
I have used the automatic settings for recording start/stop for several years and very rarely have had any issues.
I would suggest that you do not use fixed padding as it will inevitably cause problems, as you are finding.
I even have a string of 4 consecutive programmes on BBC2 every Monday...
I suspect that this may be at the heart of it, in that this mistake was made when setting up the recording (especially if brian5856's mind was really on their travel arrangements).
Just because it is a series does not mean it will run a series recording unless you tell it to do so,
I don't think so.
I use a Power Timer for 20 minutes around 0700 set to BBC1 HD and daily.
I have been recording the Portillo programmes as a series on my 5000T and they have worked correctly, so it would appear not to be anything to do with the transmitted information, but probably something...
If you are going by what the schedule list shows, bear in mind that until one episode in a series has recorded, the next will not show there, even if it is in the guide.
Looking in the guide will show both/all as programmed and will record.
Don't forget that if you are going to do a full retune, it is wise to photograph your Schedule list first. Also, deleting Ch 101 from the channel list first may help.
You use the “F” button on the remote and at the top scroll to “Settings” which you select with OK.
Scroll down to Channel Settings and select “Signal Test”.
That will display the Signal Strength and Quality for any tuners in use, along with the UHF channel number(s) and frequencies.
If you...
Yes, there are certainly some very odd displays on the 5000T, but they do not necessarily mean that recording will not happen. It just looks that way at times.
I have noticed that at the start of a recording, the name sometimes disappears from the schedule but doesn't come up on the list of...
I cannot tell if it is relevant to this case, but don't forget that the SCHEDULE only shows the next episode to be recorded, but not subsequent episodes.
So if you had Pointless on Series Link for BBC1, it would show an episode at 1715 today, but not 1715 tomorrow. Tomorrow's will appear in...
At the time, I was unsure of Member 7823's source of the incorrect info, so I was letting them know where they could find the correct version.
He was correct that the site said that, but the info from there was not correct.
I have just checked a post code nearby to Waltham on this checker
https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/coverage-checker/detailed-view
and Ch55 is not listed there for Waltham, nor on Crystal Palace for mine.
