What to buy?
You're probably sorted by now but I replaced my Fox-T2 with a BT Pro Box. Officially only available from BT with a sub to their TV services, but I got mine from CEX. They also appear on Ebay but mostly over-priced & with CEX there's a warranty. Triple tuners, Youview, 1TB HDD & remote recording...- Rbz5416

Does the Humax firmware still do this or was it fixed by firmware? Want to dispose of my backup machine that doesn't have custom firmware on it but don't want to inflict that behaviour on a new user.- Rbz5416

Remote Control Oddities
Well that was odd, both symptoms were indeed caused by duff batteries. I'd opened a new pack of four & even checked the voltage, but it looks like they had no current capacity. Another new set in each remote & all is good. The one that was flashing a sequence was programmed to code set two, so...- Rbz5416

Remote Control Oddities
A couple of weird ones. Firstly is a T2 that was returned to me from loan some time back. Thought I'd finally get round to wiping it & factory reset, but the remote doesn't work. I can see the IR through my phone cam but I can't control the box or bring up the code switching option with 0+OK...- Rbz5416

5000t - junk it or tweak it?
It's already back up for sale. 👍 Set up a test recording last night & for some reason it jumped out of standby 20 minutes before recording was scheduled. Didn't go back into standby & also seems to have randomly decided to record something else as well. It's also very noisy in operation...- Rbz5416

5000t - junk it or tweak it?
Having just picked up a 5000 on a whim, I'm amazed how primitive it is compared to a T2 with custom firmware. It won't be staying long. If I was desperate to record more than two channels I'd prefer two T2s.- Rbz5416

Haven't updated CF for a while (I'm on 3.00 :eek:). Bit confused by the filename of "raydon_s_Media_and_File_Server_Bundle_for_the_Foxsat_HDR_release_4.1.3" that the 4.13 link goes to in post #1. Is the CF bundled within that as the filename makes no reference to CF? If it is correct I'm...- Rbz5416

Thanks, although at the time of the reading it's been copying data back from USB for a while but I'll take a look. Should maybe open the front of the cabinet for a bit more air flow when it's taking a pasting like this.- Rbz5416

Big thank you to whoever is responsible for the maintenance tools. The disk was littered with errors. Had some issues reloading the CF after the disk format so had to go back to a standard firmware first. But all done now, just need to restore...- Rbz5416

Noted. Just wondered if there was somewhere else where requests may be responded to? Wouldn't expect developers to be responding to dozens of daily requests but when posting this I searched & didn't find many others. Would be nice if the request was at least acknowledged.- Rbz5416

Feature Request: EPG Navigation Buttons in WebIF
When browsing the higher channel numbers in Grid View, it's painful to have to keep returning to the top of the page to navigate forward/back. Could the buttons be made to scroll with the window so that they're always available?- Rbz5416
