  In short then, nobody is working on it and wont be. And in the slim chance that if anybody does manage to figure out how to modify the HMJ file, the FTP server is read-only (you can't write or delete files) so there is no way to put the file back.

  Is anybody actually even working on finding a method to export HD content e.g. deciphering the equivalent of the HMT file (HJM file)? The reason why I'm so eager, thus far, this is the best unit which they have released hardware wise, it is the most powerful and tuner wise.

  What is there to describe? I use the Foxy tool to disable the Enc flag and click to export to connected USB Flash Drive.

For example I have the following file from 3am this morning: 'Hollyoaks Omnibus_20170910_0317.ts' which is 5.91GB and 131 minutes - when exported it cuts (at the same place each time) just before 100 minutes in with the resulting file being about...

  What 2GB limit? The file when I look through FTP is like 5-6GB on average. When exported it cuts at like 4.5GB.

  Interesting that you're saying it's not the unit because I also have the Panasonic Smart Recorder with Freeview Play (DMR-HWT150EB) and it does not occur with the recordings on that but the only problem is you can't get them from the device.
