Amusing Items

If you'd seen an interview this morning on Good Morning Britain with a young Australian woman who lost part of an arm and leg to a shark attack you might not find that so amusing. Particularly as she made the decision to give up her left arm, because she is right handed, in a successful bid to fight off the shark.
wow! that is clear thinking in a more than slightly dodgy situation

Esther Rantzen isn't going to have a funeral.
Certainly getting wall-to-wall coverage. Trying to watch the news hour on ITV - ER, switch to BBC -ER, Sky News - ER. Off switch and check this site and sausages. Argh!

A little further back and "The future's bright, the future's Orange" (A reference to a mobile phone provider, for those too young to remember).

Word reaches me that Jeffrey Archer negotiated a fixed price deal for his funeral. We don't know what the actual cost is, but it will be not a penny more, not a penny less.

Iran’s embassy in Ghana has taken a sarcastic swipe at US President Donald Trump over his repeated claims about having a high IQ. In a post on Tuesday, the embassy mocked Trump by writing: “Trump’s IQ is extremely high; to be precise, it is 404.”

Even the most ardent haters of the European Parliament have to give them kudos for this.

1791453102826.png The Orange Plague is a 2026 sculpture by the Danish artist Jens Galschiøt. The work features a naked U.S. President Donald Trump in 23 carat gold leaf, sitting on a smaller person's shoulders. It drew widespread international attention after having been installed in the lobby of the European Parliament building
A plaque beneath the statue reads:

"I am sitting on the back of a man.He is sinking under my burden I will do anything to help him.Except stepping down from his back.—The King of Injustice."
The statue is 2.6m tall. It holds a large golf club (golf is a passion of Donald Trump, who is known in part for his golf courses), a set of scales (symbolizing justice), and a golf ball modeled to look like planet Earth.
