[CFW 2.19/1.03.06] Custom firmware for version 1.03.06

The only thing that comes to mind is that your DLNA database could be corrupt in some way that causes problems for 1.03.06 when it starts the media scanner. Have you tried turning Content Sharing off to see if it makes a difference?

Re-updated to 1.03.06/2.21 and now it is behaving fine this time.

Checking the timing and the DLNA server does indeed appear on my PC at just about the expected time so it probably was the problem.
It seems to have sorted itself now so will keep 1.03.06/2.21 on and see what happens.
It is my brother's box that only just arrived Friday - Who knows what he has been doing with the new toy ???

Thanks for the help af123

It's doing it again :(

Don't know how my brother has managed to make it happen but it is.

I tried disabling the DLNA server (Content Share OFF) but it just keeps crashing.
The only solution is to attach an active Ethernet cable.

Anything you want me to do before I install 1.02.32/2.21 ????

EDIT: Using WebIF Diagnostics I Reset DLNA Database.
Standby Cycle reboot with no Ethernet and it has stopped Crash/Cycle
Does that help ?

Cheers
Pete

Very strange - Thought it was OK with content sharing off and the DNLA Database reset but no, started crashing again.

Switched off after finding it apparently OK.
Ethernet still removed. Started again some hours later for about an hour.
I had switched it off for a 1/2hour break then when it was switched on again it started the crash cycle again.

Strange !!!

I was thinking of the file system. It would do no harm to run the disk repair stuff from the Telnet menu.

Can't see any flags or notes.

Thanks.

I'm going to install 1.02.32/2.21 and see if that stays OK (should do) so my brother can actually use it - He isn't bothered about the new iPlayer so hopefully no problems !

Cheers
