What would be of more relevance is the name of the multiplex. 5Select is broadcast on BBC B, as are U&Eden, ITV1HD, & Channel4HD. BBC B is a DVB-T2 mux, and (tellingly) we are aware of other mucking about on DVB-T2.being broadcast on UHF channel 35
Are we? You might be. I'm not.we are aware of other mucking about on DVB-T2
Perhaps not. After further reflection, I think it was the creeping of T2 codecs onto T muxes. Are we?
There is no such thing as a T2 codec. Codecs and modulation are completely different things.the creeping of T2 codecs onto T muxes
You can't go upsetting the snowflakes with scary technical detail. They might wet themselves. The Freeview planned engineering page is very unhelpful. Every transmitter appears to be on the list, and has been for quite a while. Either screen goes blank or pixelation and no mention of multiplex.
So where are you supposed to get the technical information that we might find useful? You can't go upsetting the snowflakes with scary technical detail. They might wet themselves.
Technically correct. I understood what was meant. The creeping use of MPEG-4 (instead of MPEG-2) on DVB-T multiplexes. MPEG-4 being commonplace on UK DVB-T2.There is no such thing as a T2 codec. Codecs and modulation are completely different things.
Well indeed. I wasn't supporting what they do. There isn't anywhere because 'they' think we don't need to know.So where are you supposed to get the technical information that we might find useful?
