Hummy Arms Word Game v4.0

What and take the risk of getting it wrong and facing a challenge themselves?
No, you do it! And we're watching ;).

I refute your challenge to the challenge. "Illicit" is an adjective, and therefore not amenable to making it plural or using as a verb. Your reference is to a definition of "illicit", not a definition of "illicits". "Elicits" is a homophone with a different meaning (and spelling, obviously).

I agree with BH.
I disagree with BH!

I agree with BH!!
I also think that those challenging need to post their scores as part of the challenge, like part of the play. It gets too confusing trying to unpick it after the event.

I wrote Illicit,not plural!
That's how I read it. BH take one Quattuordicillion penalties for two illicit challenges. And Rob better take quad points +40 for two wrong challenges and two refutings of wrong challenges.
Now we all do our owh scoring for everyone and stand by for some challenges.
illicit >
sillicon +4= 641

Thanks for the support Trev, but I have to challenge you as there is only one l in silicon.

+50 altogether = 820 Agreed?

Cheats, all of you!!! (except Trev).

Rob originally wrote "illicits" and claimed 6 points for it (I have the evidence), and he subsequently edited the post (albeit within the period where it doesn't acquire an edited stamp, the edit nonetheless affected the subsequent play).

What's more Trev, you've let prpr walk off with 19 points illegally by not challenging his score! And where does that 50 Rob's claiming come from??

Rob's "illicits" claimed 6 and was correctly challenged so it loses 10 points = 755;

My correct challenge scores me 10 = 1043;

Rob's incorrect challenge of my challenge scores -10, and -50 for a spotted post-edit = 695;

Rob's incorrect challenge doubles my 10 to 1053;

Trev's "sillicon" subsequently challenged takes him to 627;

Rob's challenge of "sillicon" adds 10 to 705;

prpr's "verticillated" (whatever that is) takes him to 1036 by cheating (should have been 1017);

Trev's "citrine" makes 631.

Yes, I have edited this post. I originally accepted my challenge of "illicit" had been incorrect, but then I found the evidence that I had indeed challenged "illicits".

Where can we all meet up to settle this pugilistically?
Madison Square Garden. Or Glastonbury if you fancy a mud fight (if we can get there/in!).

Tee hee. I admit to taking advantage of the melee hoping nobody would. I played this system, like Captain Kirk did when he was at the academy.
Rob's "illicits" claimed 6 and was correctly challenged so it loses 10 points = 755;
But he was on 772 in #1169, so his claimed score of +5=770 in #1179 was invalid, as was his word.
prpr's "verticillated" (whatever that is) takes him to 1036 by cheating (should have been 1017);
It's a biological/botanical term meaning "having or arranged in whorls or verticils (especially a whorl of leaves around a stem)".

Citrate
1036+5 = 1041

The problem with "Illicit(s) was as follows:
I wrote Illicits and realised immediately that the plural was incorrect and therefore within a few minutes I edited the post. Unfortunately for me The Thesaurus i.e. BH, was awake and responded to the original post. From there the confusion blossomed.
I therefore accept my new score of 705, ugh!

Articulate
+5=710
