That's in the process of rationalisation, and about time.
Core! "Bin" singular. We have 7 different collections.
We've got six, or seven if you include a collection they don't supply a bag/crate for.
Every week, the recycling gets collected in one go, but segregated into separate collecting bags and crates: food waste; paper & card; plastics & metals; glass bottles & jars + small electricals; clothing (bagged yourself).
Separately, the non-recyclable domestic waste mini-wheelie bin is collected every third week.
Separately, the garden waste wheelie bin is collected every third week (not in winter), not the same week as non-recyclable domestic waste.
Thus there is only one bin out at a time, and none on the in-between week.
That does not count the items not recycled by the council's agents (supermarkets have drop-off points for batteries and soft plastics), or that I have to make an appointment on-line to take to the tip.
