Puzzle Corner

Even picking prpr's "only" inference, I needed a second one! That was my first choice, which needed two more.
F1 seemed to require two more. A4, for me, also required F1
Anyway, I still don't think inferences make it difficult. If you hadn't posted that it was difficult, I'd have said it was easy!

At last, an interesting Kurosu with justified rating. I've stopped looking at them as a routine, but this caught my eye:

Well, at least it had me scratching my head for a few seconds! Only requires one inference... if you pick the right one.

When I do them I don't usually distinguish between simple and inferred moves. I had a go and did it quickly but with two inferences. Obviously didn't pick the right one!

Today's Countdown, final numbers puzzle:

100 75 50 25 8 2 with a target 555

I made 554, the contestants got 554 and 556. Rachel didn't get it; the voice in her ear said it was possible, but no solution was declared before the end credits. I had to use an on-line solver. I think you'd have to be some kind of genius or savant to get it in 30s.

( ( (50 + 2) * 100 * 8 ) + 25 ) / 75
