You've got a lot of run and smart there which is odd. I'd be looking at disk or monitor.db

Is that supposed to be listed in the database browser?

Anyway, the Sysmon charts show nothing untoward except a gap in the record from about 5.30am until reboot at about 3pm. The HDD Sysmon chart is a flat line for the last year.

I'll get around to a fixdisk at some point (not right now).

What do you think stomped on tmenu?

What does it show with uptime ?
Do you have multiple connections to this machine from other devices?
Were there any commands you ran in particular eg tmenu and what else?
(Not sure why there is a umount there, and so many lsof.)

I think maybe the earlier reboot you mention at 1500 ish may not have been very tidy. So uptimemay confirm this. (Struggling to format text using mobile.)

What, not very tidy in as much as it was power-cycled?!! :D

The Telnet stuff was gathered before rebooting.

Anyway, uptime now says 3h53m, which tells me I rebooted at about 3.20pm.

HD Fox-T2: some sort of reset that led to No channels, rather than the Factory wizard, on the next restart. Presumably just the channel DB got trashed rather than whatever wider set of DBs forces the wizard.

The symptom that caused me to restart was no ability to pause/rewind the live transmission (so I'll never see all those Italy scores against Wales again).

On restart the front panel eventually showed nO C and then ----. During the whirling rectangle, there's now a boot that I hadn't observed before (could I really have missed it on all the thousands of previous restarts?). The automatic schedule restore ran and rebooted the system: if there had been any channels that might have worked. The WiFi connected properly. A schedule backup with Favourites names but no channels was made. After retuning there were no Favourites or names of them, but the backup from this morning's restart could be restored and then restarting again left the system as it should have been.
 
Had a support request from my supported user, blank recording schedule. I've seen this several times on my HDR3, and advised that a reboot (power cycle) would restore the schedule (it did). This is not an auto-schedule-restore operation, which would invoke an additional reboot to perform the restore.

This seems to imply there is a working cache separate from the actual schedule entries.

You mean for auto-schedule-restore? No, RTS doesn't work with that, you still need a reboot. Ditto manual restore.

I don't know the technical details. I did discuss it with af a while ago, but I don't remember the answer.
 
I meant that the RTS hook keeps the in-memory schedule data in line with changes to the schedule in the DB(s). Restoring channels, favourite groups are another step, I guess.
