For those that record this.
The second part of last week's pair (on Tuesday) got bumped by football. It's now being shown tomorrow (Monday) with the usual Mon-Tues rhythm returning the week after I believe.
The catch is that they have changed the series ID (at least on BBC1 HD) so the schedule that recorded last Monday's doesn't recognise the second part tomorrow. I set up a new schedule and left the old one in case they fix it, but they hadn't as of this morning.

(This was on our Freeview box, I don't know if the same thing affects the freesat channels.)

The fact that Silent Witness had disappeared from the recording schedule and she would have missed it if not available to intervene. I explained about CRID cock-ups and spoke about RS but that went down like a lead balloon!
 
It's about bitrate!

Not that it bothers me much, if there's anything I particularly need there's qtube.

Not at all. As BH says it's bitrate. You could access this forum with a dial-up modem but streaming any significant video would be out of the question. (If possible you might be able to download the programme over some hours or days to watch when it's done.)
 
Well that's a result I didn't expect.
Checking the schedule today (on the Aura) one of the SW reservations has both tonight's (e4) and next Monday's (e5). This is probably the new reservation I set to catch tonight's, but there's no way to be sure.
So far so expected.
But the other (probably original) reservation has also now picked up next Mondays (e5), but not tonight's.
Both are recording BBC1 Sth HD.

How the frick have they managed that?

I see no evidence to support your assertion, so it must be an Aura problem. There have been no CRID changes. The only change that has happened was last Tuesday's episode got removed on the prior Tue. afternoon:

My log shows what is transmitted. Presumably the HDR uppercases everything, and your '-' character is a transcription error.
