Simple cooling solution for the T2

I actually tried the laptop cooler method a while back before the fan package was released and the cooling results were pretty good but my cheap and nasty cooler wasn't the quietest and I was glad of the fan package when it was made available - probably my favorite package.
In terms of which method I think is better? Well the cooling effects are similar so if you are running custom firmware already I would have thought that the fan package is a no brainer?
However, I was using an ugly noisy laptop cooler :-\
