We are still waiting for you to enlighten us. Come on, give us a sign Scratman. 🤨
Quack, duckie! Or should I say duckies, as you insist on using the royal we. Wave your tail at someone you can handle! You know perfectly well what I meant, and are shaming yourself with your inane rants. Get a life, grow up, consider others.

Well, Davina agrees with me so that's fine - we're considering all the men who don't deserve to be labelled as potential abusers. You're only considering your own little acorn world.

I know we're agreed the human race is doomed anyway, but that will be pretty quick if all women are scared of all men.

Who the hell is Davina?🤣

You continue to twist and distort in your misogynisyic world. Let me explain.

You, and people like you, are the problem. You fail to empathise with women who feel threatened by male behaviour. I am not talking about all men, but if you are a physically weak woman, and, yes, most women are physically weaker than most men, and some man is tracking behind you, what are your options?

You say, let them past, but that may bring on the confrontation. If he is well meaning, and empathetic, he will not walk shadowing a woman.

Even worse, it may be a group of yobbish males behind her. There is nobody around to help. What are her options? It is a game in which the chances of losing may be low, but the loss is huge. In the recent case, we don't know the circumstances, but the consequences were fatal.

My daughter told me recently that out running in a busy area, a car kerb crawled by her, then the male driver got out and asked for her number. She protested, and he then argued that he had the right to do this. What have we become as a nation, when a male can think this acceptable behaviour?

It is you, and your denial of a problem, that is the problem. What is seen as acceptable behaviour by some should be discouraged.

Finally, argue all you like about equality, but rape is predominantly a male crime. I can think of only one instance of a female being accused of rape. Women want equality of opportunities in work, sport, etc, not absolute equality, like you seem to think. They don't want equality in musculature, equality in penis length, they want the bias in our society removed. We men have the power to give them that, and also address their other concerns. It would be boorish not to.

I am not that worried about homosexual rape, like EEPhil is. Maybe I should be.

But how many times has anyone followed you home, then stuck their hand between your buttocks?
That’s missing my point. I never mentioned that sort of assault. More concerned about being robbed or beaten up. Just pointing out it’s unsafe for everyone - possibly for different reasons.

Simple question that you are unable to answer except with personal insults. Tells us all we need to know.

But that threat applies to everyone, whereas women face an extra threat of rape. The playing field is not level.

You can give insults but not take them? Why am I not surprised?

As for the signal, work it out yourself.

That was a lucky escape. he could have ended up with you as his father in law. Be careful out there guys and never ask a stranger for their number until you know what baggage they will come with.

I know, impossible isn't it? Not allowed to speak to anyone in case you might say something misinterpreted as offensive, not allowed to walk anywhere in case your style of walking is taken as offensive... this was a free country once, and our grandparents fought for that!

Now, what was the word....? Oh yes, snowflakes.

I can't breathe!

Bunch of women complain because they were breaking the law and resisted arrested after ignoring a warning. Police forced into no-win situation.

Police universally condemned for over-use of violence in peaceful vigil. No similar action taken against predominantly male football fans.

If asked to disperse and don't, what do you expect? If criticised for not having taken action in the past (including standing by during the descruction of public property), what do you expect? What I expect is the police to uphold the law without fear or favour.

You're in your self-righteous bubble again, try looking at things from other people's perspectives.

Monarchy is a nonsense, because it demands we pay homage to people whose claim on our respect derives solely from their heredity. Yet I believe it will continue to suit the British people to defy the logic of republicanism; to preserve and cherish the admittedly anachronistic institution that has served us so well.

Consider the awesome mission statement we write for them: to preserve in the 21st century, for our convenience and pleasure, an essentially 19th-century fairytale.

But they don't, do they? Football supporters have not been dispersed. This was an easy target, mostly female. Plus, they don't uphold the law regarding sexual assaults, car crimes, burglaries, they fob the victims off, or don't follow up. They claim they don't have the resources. So where did those resources suddenly come from in this case?

No, it was a deliberate act to put these women in their place. Does one mourner make a gathering? Or two? Or three? Given that the organised vigil had been called off, where do they draw the line? When they aren't all drunken yobs at a football match, who might fight back?

Try to see things from the perspective of the women, facing daily harassment , rather thsn getting on your high horse about upholding the law. Laws in a democracy are meant to protect people, not victimise them.

PS Kate did the right thing, I respect her for that, not just because she was born or married into a certain family

PPS Try thinking for yourself for once, rather than blindly accepting whatever the Daily Mail owners want you to believe.
