There aren't many functional changes in this release. The main change is to swap the web server software that runs the web interface from Mongoose to Lighttpd which makes it much faster and more compatible with different browsers.

== 1.0.13 (11/05/2014) ==
* Switch web server software from mongoose to lighttpd (see http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/4947/);
* Defer shrink operations until after decrypt for folders set to do both;
* Fix link back to settings from EPG screens.

I have a problem that has just started since I updated to the 'release' version of lighttpd.

FYI, I have been running lighttpd since its initial release without issue. Today, I updated both my HDRs (Orange and Green), to the latest version.
Everything at this point was working fine. I could access the WebIf on both machines OK.

I have since powered down both HDRs. On powering up (just taking out of standby), I have lost the WebIf.

I now get a banner thus:

Green Success.JPG

Obviously, the CF is already installed, as confirmed by the version info showing on the VFD at start-up.

If I click the 'Download & Install the Full Web Interface' button I get this:

Green Download.JPG

If I power cycle the unit, I am faced with the top message again, inviting me to install the full WebIf. It appears to go round in a loop.

This is the same on BOTH HDRs, so it is not isolated to one unit Both HDRs are running the firmwares listed in my sig. and are set up identically.

I will say again. Everything, including access to the WebIf, appeared as normal immediately after lighttpd was updated, it was only after the units were put into standby then turned back on that the access to the WebIf was broken.

HELP!

For some reason, the firmware environment startup doesn't think you have the web interface installed so it's starting the bootstrap process. Didn't happen on any of my test machines!

You must either be missing the mongoose binary or the initial web interface index page. Can you type a couple of comands on the command line from telnet please?

Code:
humax# ls -l /mod/sbin/mongoose
humax# ls -l /mod/webif/html/index.shtml

No problem. Another thing I have just found out is that although I can Telnet into the unit/s, I cannot FTP.

Here is a screen grab of the result of the commands you asked me to enter:

No mongoose... hmm. That explains it though!. It should still be there unless you have uninstalled that package.
Force reinstall lighttpd and it will create a dummy script for you.

Code:
humax# opkg install lighttpd --force-reinstall

Thanks, af123, that appears to have done the trick on both boxes too!

I have not intentionally removed mongoose, however, I did set both boxes to ===RMA=== a week ago and installed everything from scratch. As I chose to install lighttpd, perhaps that removed mongoose? I have no idea. I do know is that I didn't remove mongoose as a package, but perhaps it just wasn't re-installed when I put the CF FW back on after my ===RMA=== adventure!

Thanks for your help.

I've re-added the mongoose dependency to the webif package in case the packaging system decided it was no longer required.

I've had an oddity this evening... just noticed that BBC Two HD (only) has disappeared from my main EPG page, but from nowhere else.

In xepg.jim, I now have:
...
101 BBC ONE HD
103 ITV HD
...
and 102/BBC Two appears nowhere on that page.

Things are fine on the standard UI (EPG, etc) and elsewhere in the WebIF. e.g. BBC Two HD appears in the channel info diag, and if I search for a programme, then click on the channel link, I can bring up a full page, i.e. epg/xservice.jim?service=17472, and that's fine.

It's just disappeared from my main view, i.e. from cgi-bin/xepg.jim

This only started today (tonight is the first time I've seen it missing); I'm sure it was there last night. I'm not aware of having changed anything since then.

The issue has survived a reboot.

The channel is there in my RS page xepg.html

Any ideas, please?

Web interface version: 1.0.13-1 (Lighttpd)
Custom firmware version: 2.22 (build 1905)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_1.02.32)

For the past couple of months there has been an odd bug with Firefox for Android. If you try and rename a programme through Webif the cursor jumps around all over the place, and you end up typing in the middle of the title. Then when you try and delete the erroneous new text, it deletes from a different part of the title. This problem has gone away since the Webif update. Result.

Minor issue: whenever I perform a reboot from WebIF, the timeout percentage slider isn't quite long enough.

i.e. after the slider reaches 100%, and the browser tries to reconnect, it times out because the Humax isn't yet ready. Waiting another 5 secs or so is enough.

This is with Firefox Aurora 31.0a2, on MacOS 10.9.3, if that makes a difference.

thanks.

Strange. Mine is always fine, using Chrome in both Windows and Android.
It might be to do with your wifi setup. I have the Humax and router set to give the box a fixed IP address. If you are using auto allocation of address it might take a bit longer to reconnect. (Or maybe your router is just a bit slow on the uptake :) )

I have the same 'issue' as cdmackay. I have static IP address' for all my devices. I use Chrome too. It doesn't bother me at all. Just hit the reload button.

I'm using DHCP, but with a statically assigned address.

It's not a bother, as noted above; am just reporting it - if we're going to have a timer, seems sensible to ensure it's long enough :)

But if the majority are OK, then no point making them wait unnecessary for my mysteriously slow setup :)

Meant to add: I'm using a wireless dongle - that may well make things a bit slower, if the i/f comes up later than it otherwise would?

Hi af123,
Just one little niggle, will the size of free space on the drive be corrected anytime soon, it is always wrong even with the latest webif, I have 22 GB free space available on the drive, but the webif reports only 2.1 GB free space.
