[webif] Web interface

Not the biggest problem in the world, But I have noticed that the WebIf Diagnostics results screen doesn't display inside a pink box box any more, Is this intentional?

I have had an instance where the crop/keep bar is showing all crop even though bookmarks have been set. I think it is actually an hmt issue probably caused by the first bookmark being set to point to offset 0.

hmt output:
Code:
Video PID:401
Audio PID:402
Bookmarks:4 =
Hex dump of relevant part of hmt file:
Code:

Yes, the current code assumes that a zero bookmark is the end of the list. Not sure why I did that but I'll update the hmt package.

Thanks, it gets a bit further now. The cut/keep bar looks OK but since there also seems to be a problem with nicesplice, I have now posted in this thread.

I am running the mod firmware 1.02.20 on humax hdr fox t2 or at least was until I selected the option at the base of the screen which said something like 'remove all modified firmware' or reset or something like that. Anyway, I tried loading the mod firmware againg by usb as normal and it seemed to load ok. I checked the IP details and they are the same as previous but when I enter 192.168.1.65 in my browser it just says 'Internet explorer cannot load page'. I have tried reflashing the official firmware 1.02.20, then inistalling mod firmware again, changing IP details manually but I can't seem to be able to load the interface on my browser any more! Have I broken it? and if so can anyone suggest a way to fix it?
Thanks Geoff

you could start by seeing if you can ping your Humax, e.g. from your P.C. START >> RUN >> CMD >> O.K. ping 192.168.1.65 and look for Reply From 192.168.1.65
Does your Humax display 'Network Connected' when you enter your IP details and then APPLY?

Yes, it sounds broken but that's because that button doesn't work properly with the current custom firmware and I should have removed it!

If you download http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/reset_1.0.0_mipsel.opk and put it on a USB stick then plug that in while the box is up and running it should properly reset everything. Then reboot the humax using the remote control (you need to wait for full shutdown so it won' t be possible if the box is recording or about to record).

The next custom firmware version will resolve the issue with resetting from the web interface.

Yes, Humax does display 'network connected' when i apply and I am able to view and copy to the 'media/my video' folder over my network.
I have downloaded the reset_1.0.0_mispel and will try it tonight. Only 1kb is that correct?

Thanks
geoff

Well, I did as you advised and sure enough I did manage to load the first page that said 'custom firmware downloaded'. When I tried to install the full web interface it failed. I have uploaded a screen dump if that helps you recommend where I go from here!

Thanks
Geoff

Before restarting make sure you remove the USB stick, otherwise it will delete files from the new installation.

The procedure should be:

Plugin in the USB stick and wait for it to stop flashing (say a minute or so).
Remove the USB stick
Restart the box.

I am sure I did as was suggested.
The log file seemed to confirm that.
I shall try again tonight. Can anyone suggest what steps I should take if I have the same error again?
Thanks
Geoff

Something might have corrupted. If it refuses to work, start from scratch with a fresh install of the standard firmware 1.02.20.

I started from scratch,
reinstalled official firmware 1.02.20
installed mod firmware 1.20.02
tried launching interface: it says 'custom firmware successfully installed'
When I try to download full web interface it fails as log file I uploaded in earlier post
Is it stuffed!!

Thanks
Geoff
