It stopped working some time ago. I've done a search to see the various fixes but I've got nowhere. Probably my inexperience.

This is the error I get Caught error: ERROR: Unable to extract nsig function code (caused by RegexNotFoundError(u'Unable to extract Initial JS player n function name; please report this issue on https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl/issues , using the appropriate issue template. This is the config file I have

--restrict-filenames
--prefer-ffmpeg
--user-agent 'Mozilla/5.0'
--no-progress
-f "best[height<=?1080][fps<=?60]"
-o "/mnt/hd2/My Video/%(title)s.%(ext)s"

TIA
Pete

If you follow the youtube-dl thread on the HDR-FOX CF forum, you'll see that the downloader software requires regular updates to keep up in the arms race of obstacles put up by the streaming servers (which want people to stream, not download). You've not mentioned what you're trying to download nor where from, but basically unless the package for the Foxsat is kept up to date by somebody, it is going to degrade.

I shall update the software and try again.

I updated all the packages and success!

Not such a successful result trying to make a contribution though. I'm using my debit card but I've had no acknowledgement of my contribution.
I may have paid four times or not at all. I shall check my bank account later and see if I need to give it another try.

Thanks again
Pete
