Seems to be working again now but below is today's empty_dustbin.log. I'm confused by the message :-
Due to lack of disk space deleted files have been kept for only 6 days
There was over 100GB free when it started? What is the "lack of disk space" referring to?
Here's the rest of the log:-...
I did a force re-install of undelete last night and now (connecting into my Hummy from work) undelete is working properly. Thing is it will just stop working sometime in the next few days :( I will monitor though as there was an undelete update that I only put on a couple of days ago.
You might...
Having exactly the same thing :( (See my thread Undelete - Does it only work from webif?) Can you look and see if there is anything common i.e. running disable-ota package etc?
Cheers,
My Undelete still stops working after a seemingly random time :( I've done a force reinstall a couple of times now. Is anyone else having issues with this? I'm running the latest version 1-5.1. Found another post related to this and I've got OTA updates disabled with the "disable-ota" package -...
That's sorted it! I got the following and the last line looked a bit suspect but I have deleted a file using the SUI and it has gone into "Deleted Items"
Marvellous :)
>>> opkg install --force-reinstall undelete
Removing package undelete from root...
No packages removed.
Installing undelete...
Yes, I've left the power down settings as standard so it has rebooted a few times. But could this also be causing undelete to fail - ie automatically switching off after 3 hours of inactivity?
Tried again this evening using the OPT+ button on the remote and it deleted the file completely i.e. didn't move it to the "Deleted Items" folder. Am I deleting the file incorrectly somehow? I'm on 1.02.20 firmware, 2.13 custom firmware. The package installed fine with no errors.
Using the...
That's what I thought. I've not altered the original settings so it's set at 7 days. I'll try again tonight. It worked when I remoted in from work yesterday and deleted something using the Webif. To actually undelete would you move the file manually using the WebIf afterwards back to where it...
I've installed the Undelete package. Does it only work if you are deleting files using the web interface? Or does it also work when deleting media files "on" the box the normal way with the remote? Just that I deleted something last night and it's not in the "Deleted Items" folder today.
Cheers,
Went a treat! :) I've added the undelete package now - that was the main reason for upgrading. Thanks to everyone for all of the work they put into all of this!
I'm sticking to the 1.02.20 factory firmware (I've had the disable-ota package installed for some time as I saw the problems on here with later builds). Does the prepare_for_upgrade still apply in my case? Or is it just worth running as a matter of course. I presume I run it just before shutting...
I've got a lovely HDR Fox T2 currently running 1.02.20 mod 1.14 with a lot of packages installed. If I upgrade to 1.02.20 mod 2.13 will I have to re-install all of the packages?
Cheers,
