What To Do with a Dead or Unwanted HDR-FOX, HD-FOX, or DTR-T1000/1010
I have an HDR-Fox T2 for collection in London if anyone wants it. I have installed a 2 Terra drive. There is a slight problem in that the power button on the remote does not work.- Jason_a69

Thanks very much for your reply Rodp, I'll get a 2TB or maybe a 1TB ordered but get the seahawk series. If I get the 1TB, I'll let Humax format it and just take the defaults.- Jason_a69

Cannot play .ts recordings in VLC
Downloaded a .ts file and it worked first time in VLC. So the problem was the share setting and this was stopping the uncrypt process to fail, my fault of course. One thing I did notice with the uncrypt process is that it will try and process every file, even if it is not a .ts. I have some...- Jason_a69

Space allocation when a timer is set
Just a question that someone can help me with. When I schedule a recording, is the space pre-allocated for that recording or is it done when the recording takes place? Just want to know if I will fill the machine up if I schedule loads of good stuff over the Xmas period. Merry Xmas...- Jason_a69

Does anyone know how to up the quality to 256k? I have tried the following change to execute.jim puts [exec /mod/bin/ffmpeg -y -benchmark -v 0 \ -i $rfile -f mp3 -ab 256k \ -vn "${base}.mp3"] But it is taking a very long time to process. Thanks Jason- Jason_a69

Problems viewing channel4 +1
Actually I did do 30 as well. You've got me there! :) Strange how the firmware update knocked things a bit, I wonder if other people had the same issue.- Jason_a69

I was having problems since my firmware updated to 1.02.28. I live in North London so I am served by the Crystal Palace transmitter. i traced the problem down to Channel4 +1 being set to another weaker mux. Reboot problem when setting a program to record
Hi there, I am accessing the EPG over the web and I sometimes schedule things to record; for the changes to take effect you need to reboot. I have a strange problem whereby sometimes the box reboots but sometimes it just shuts down and does not come back. Is anyone else experiencing this...- Jason_a69
