Foxsat making up it's own recording schedule !!
Now my box has a new trick. I record home and away at 1-15 pm on channel five every day. It worked today as usual but guess what, looked at the recording schedule and it's going to record it again on 5* +1 at 7.30 pm! . That's very impressive but i don't actually want it too. All recordings failed!
Last two nights all BBC1 HD recordings failed but BBC HD worked. Call the midwife and bird song failed on Sunday but watched them on i-player. Whitechapel and the football failed on ITV HD.- fatbloke

All recordings failed!
I live in the London area. All recordings today have worked OK, but have no confidence about tonights, as last night all failed including BBC, and ITV.- fatbloke

All recordings failed!
Last night all recordings failed bar one, and that didn't work properly. The only reason my mother got the results for the ice dancing was the fact the earlier programme worked but carried on recording for over four hours! Humax 9150 ghost picture in background- Help!!
Thanks, should i remove pin 19 from the chepo that came with the Humax or start again with a better one?- fatbloke

Humax 9150 ghost picture in background- Help!!
Thanks for the reply. She does live only 3oo metres from a relay ariel in Bedmond (Hemel Hempstead) but the pictures the tuners receive are from crystal palace as they should be . Would this cause a problem? I don't see how because even when looking at a menu page you still see the ghosting. Any...- fatbloke

Copy a Recorded Prog from Hard Disc to DVD-RW
Hi, it's easy i do it all the time. Connect a scart lead from the Humax to the DVD recorder. Then another scart from the recorder to the TV. When the Humax and DVD are turned on press the av button on the DVD recorder until the picture appears. The picture is now coming from the Humax going into...- fatbloke

What a Foxsat HDR remote control looks like on the inside !
Hi Get Go and thanks for returning the favor. Just taken apart my remote and given it a good clean as the pvr and ok buttons were almost useless, and yes it now works perfectly. It was a problem for my mum because she would turn the TV on with the TV button and then press the pvr button to turn...- fatbloke

This wasn't the only drive i could have used, but at the time was the recommended one as it had given no problems to anybody (1 TB) Personally i would stick with the evds as it's flawless, easy to put in, and once in it's job done no more messing around. My modem was on wireless at the time so my sister could use her laptop, apart from that nothing.- fatbloke

By cable, straight from the modem and into the back of the Humax. It came back about an hour ago but has now gone again. Checked modem that's fine, and have reconnected both ends of the cable. It's never happened before so hopefully it's just temporary.- fatbloke

i players stopped working!
The last few days my i player hasn't been working. It works if you turn it off at the back and then on again, but as soon as it's put into stand bye and then back on again nothing. Anybody else got this problem?- fatbloke

The remote works brilliantly if you rub the black coating off!
No, it's like a thin coat of watery paint that should come off easily once you get started. It's the same stuff they use on the back face of red LED watches to make them look black. If you rub it off your just left with clear plastic.- fatbloke

There's another problem with the remote apart from the two plastic film strips. It now appears that the inside off the drop down flap has a black coating apart from where the clock is. This means the black coating also covers the remote sensor. If you open the flap you can rub off this coating...- fatbloke

If your having trouble with the remote control try removing the second protective film, it should then work fine. I don't know why they put the second one on as most people won't notice it at all.
