Can you explain why you want to move the TS file around (to temp folder and back)?
Note: using FTP to copy TS around will not cause any changes to the actual TS file (like decryption!) as FTP is a binary copy.
Humax copy (on Fox T2) to USB will decrypt the TS file for Sd and Foxy'd HD files.
Re:my earlier post #21, the rogue "ota update" entry had disappeared from the schedule when I booted up today.
Edit: the box was still on the same version of disable_ota as yesterday.
I have now updated to latest version since rebooting.
Why not, presumably its preferred address is in the same subnet as the rest of your network. As long as the address was in the DHCP range and then fixed to that address on your router ...
I'm not sure about your router but on the netgear and linksys you can fix a MAC address to any IP address...
Is "having a frozen dhcp address" not the same as the router assigning the same address each time? The difference being that the assigned address comes out of the DHCP pot rather than from outside that range.
That's the same principle as my netgear and my previous linksys.
In my case the DHCP...
I have just booted my Hummy. I have DOTA installed.
There is a scheduled DOTA entry in table for tomorrow morning, but also an Unscheduled auto-update:
The DOTA entry is not shown here, it is higher up the table and scheduled.
Hope this helps your analysis.
EDIT: I forgot to point out that...
Is it not worth letting the router assign fixed IP addresses to the humax, assuming your router can do this of course.
At least it means that all of your network addresses would be controlled from one place.
If it works in the same way as the Fox T2, if you change groups in the EPG (blue button). You need to switch to one of the channels therein, whilst in the EPG, to get the group to stick. Otherwise the group returns to its previous setting when you exit.
I think the wording "higher priority" is incorrect. "Existing" would be a better word.
If I remember correctly the message pops up when you try to set up third recording.
It won't let you actually set that event up unless you remove or change one of the existing ones.
I suppose it is saying that...
Have you considered using the Hummy as your main means of watching TV. Effectively the TV then just becomes a monitor.
I and, to the best of my knowledge, Many others on this forum have done this for a long time now without problems.
The only draw back is when you want to record two programs and...
But doesn't this still leave you with the problem that the recordings are encrypted on the 1800T and 2000T.
In which case what are you going to do with the recordings once you have remote access via FTP.
Though the Humax will not record iPlayer or YouTube without the Custom Firmware.
If you are using the DVD to record the output from the SCART socket then it should record anything going out of that socket.
Given that the socket is intended for attachment to a TV it follows that iPlayer and...
Luke is correct about WEB only access with BT Broadband account.
The key part of his response (above) is that you need a BT TV account - that's what the £5 per month is all about.
Both tvdiary and sysmon working for me in 2015.
All apps, webif and CF and Standard Firmware at latest release versions.
So I don't think it's a year change bug.
I have been using ios8 on iPhone and iPad for several weeks now and have had no problems accessing webif on either of my boxes.
Are you using Safari.
You should only need to key in the IP address (eg. 192.168.1.52 or whatever).
It is no different to ios7 access.
Can you access it from your PC?
