Especially spindly pale blue letters against a white background.
Is there a way to change font colour / weight either on the T2 or on the WebIf?
Looked through these fora (grammar!) but saw nothing on this topic.
Thanks!
I expect this subject has been aired before, but I couldn't find it. Apologies in advance!
Just like my old 9200, the Fox T2 collects a load of scheduled events from the past. On the WebIf they appear down at the bottom of the scheduled events page with START TIME and DURATION columns blank...
It sounds like everyone except me has their box near their telly. I've got mine on a hifi rack behind my viewing chair - and a 10 metre HDMI cable. Am I odd?
They used to say that you wouldn't notice the difference between SD and HD on a 32" set or smaller. That's not my experience. I was hugely impressed by the jump in quality from my old Humax 9200, both in picture and sound. If you've been used to that quality, I think you'll miss it.

Hmm - that's a point. According to the recorder manual, aspect ratio is automatically transferred if the recording is made in VR mode (this is a Sony).
I shall experiment!
Just posting this here because I found it really difficult to track down in the manual and it's in a very unintuitive place in the menu (under 'RECORDING' for some reason).

I was a bit surprised to find that the HDR Fox T2 only has the one HDMI socket.
I have linked it to my DVD recorder (which also only has a single HDMI out) via SCART. The loss in quality will presumably be inconsequential.
Other than the fact that the custom firmware for the Humax makes a...
I had the same dilemma. I decided that if I wired up the Fox to the Humax portal (or better still the custom one) I could get iPlayer etc etc, and that this would give me most of the Youview features on a tried and tested platform.
Mine was £150 from XSItems on Ebay, ex-display but as far as I...
Thanks to all for help so far in this process. I am downloading an MPEG file, as TS files are less acceptable to DVD burning software.
Here is what I think the process requires. Please let me know if I've missed anything, or am doing anything unnecessary.
i) Install WebIf
ii) Install...
Oh! Have you only got the old 0.9.12-5? You old traditionalist you! And retro is the new black, I'm told.
Of course I've got the 0.9.12-7. Yes, I know it's not on general release yet, but I know some people. And I guess I'm just an early adopter.

It is/was.
But the bit I was missing seems to be using the right player. VLC works fine. Mr Gates's fine product didn't.
Oooh! That sounds like what I need. Where is that? When I right-click OPT+ in the WebIf and select DOWNLOAD I only get the option of a TS file.
OK chaps, here's my story.
i) downloaded the CF. Straightforward, comprehensible even to me, and excellent.
ii) copied a file using OPT+ download option in the WebIf. This TS file wouldn't play, so I concluded it hadn't decoded itself.
iii) copied a file with WGET. This worked well...
