Foxsat to tv connection
Thanks for the warning, but I'm ditching my home cinema box and I have just the foxsat box and the tv, which has no optical input, so I don't have much choice.- Orpheus2000

Error in recording schedule
Sometimes I select a program to be recorded via the EPG on the FoxSat box and the result is an entry with the date 19/02 and the start and end times both at 3:14. Copying HD files to USB
Ah, thank you. I had been vaguely under that impression at one time, but I lost my way among the posts. I usually don't have a need to copy files, so HD/SD doesn't matter to me, but my wife, who uses a YouView box in another room, wants me to put a particular series recorded in HD onto DVD. I have CF 4.1.1. I have the browser software. I have no idea how to get a load of HD recordings from the Humax to my PC (so that I can put them on DVDs after formatting and editing). I installed the CF and now the Box seems to retain the recording schedule during a retune, which is all I wanted in the end. I did not notice any other change to the Box's functions, however. I see that I can read the EPG and the Schedule on my PC now, but I don't quite find a use for this.- Orpheus2000

I wish I had - I don't even have a memorable photograph. I have quite a long schedule, though, since I record almost everything I'd like to see. I then watch it in my own time, and without the adverts. There may be around twenty items at any one time. Cheers- Orpheus2000

Thank you all for your help. It all makes sense now. Retuning the whole lot is no big deal, and I certainly don't expect to retune very often, although it would be nice if one could backup the recording schedule and restore it after retuning. As it is I have learned to write it all down...- Orpheus2000
