I have not had any false source switching ..... only when I power up the device ... does TV switch to it.
Perhaps I have been lucky with devices .. they are not connected to eArc input
Previously (until the new TV) all devices went via a Yamaha AV Home Theatre amp ..... great sound, especially with the 6.1 M&K speaker set up.
However new TV now has a S800B Soundbar and Powered sub-bass, the advantage is it all works correctly with TV 'one remote' plus the sound now supports...
I appreciate I could lable .... the key difference is, if I switch on my Amazon FireTV for example, the port is detected TV switches source automatically to that HDMI input.
I was trying to get same action for HUMAX.
No … I am referring to permanently connected devices … each device has its own cable to a dedicated HDMI socket on the TV.
my AV amp is even older but it correctly identifies it as ‘Home Theatre’ but not make or model.
I have a Humax PVR FOX T2
running ver 3.13 (4028)
I have just changed my TV to a Samsung S95, when I plugged in the various devices into the HDMI ports, when selected, they correctly identified themselves.
TheTV created an icon in Home screen, and will make use of it (via source selection)...
I have Fox T2 - HDR
Running Custom firmware version: 3.13 (build 4028) and accessing via a FireFox Browser,
I have 2 recordings I would like to move to my PC desktop ..... I have the browser access set up and can see the recordings, thought it would be as easy as drag to desktop, or...
I have moved the most recent ‘failed’ recording into trash, if there is any useful data from that.
or can supply any of the logs ........ or does neither help diagnose.
What other information can I give .... I have one of the failed recordings .. will that provide any details.
Disk Diagnostics are all OK
It has a set of logfiles - happy to post any.
Another scenario ... yesterday ...programme set to record.
I came to watch it about 30min in ..... was still recording at 2Hr long.
When I tried to pay got the “This channel is encrypted’. message .... it would not ffwd .... after 29 sec or so it would simply cease trying to play and go back to...
Now been using the 'PVR' with the new HDD for 2+ months.
So a little update .. strange that the Sandberg HDD adapter would not work ... works fine on some other HDD.
Copying files overtook several days .. amazed how slow the USB interface on Fox T2 is .. but don't use it normally so no issue...
USB 2 supports up to 480MB/s so 'could' be much better, assuming read/write and a huge amount of handshaking is taking place.
Around 255 GB transferred and taken 18 HRS .... which is less than 5MB/s
Nothing I can do about it ..... but does seem very slow transfer for available interface...
The new version worked OK .... recordings copying across.
Very slow though ..... been copying for 18 Hrs (let it run overnight) and only around 1/3rd done so far.
Not a strictly true description, but all new recordings do not have a thumbnail .... they have instead a picture of a film strip. in the top left hand corner a yellow triangle with a ‘+’. Symbol
If I play any of these ...even if only for a second..... it then has the correct thumbnail.
Any...
I have ordered a new Sata to USB adapter, this one ....
