Unfortunately these photos have been deleted :-(
Anyway, I was not confident to open the remote without breaking it,
but I can use the custom software to operate the remote remotely (!)
and now I realize I can do the same thing via my mobile phone :-)
So if I break the remote, I have a fall-back...
I still see the message 'Backup/Restore Scheduled Recording/Events' and the bottom of schedules. but clicking on it has no effect.
I used this feature okay about 3 days ago, after upgrading the programs list, but it has been absent since probably the day before yesterday.
I do the 'Upgrade all...

No, sorry, as far as I can see there is no practical substitute to being alert to the chatter on the forum. People have decided to buy in to the CF, this is the cost.
Well I have used the web interface to update features every day for years,
but would have expected some alert...
Thank you - I had loaded CF3.00/1.03.12, but I needed to delete portal_xtra1 and find and install new_portal to get it working.
The outstanding question is - How can one tell which packages are no longer compatible with new releases of the main firmware?
I wanted to use iPlayer, so upgraded my official Humax firmware, then iPlayer worked okay.
But I then found my PC had no access to the Custom Web Interface, so I upgraded custom.
Now I find the custom features work (i.e. it has done its daily schedule backup this morning),
but I can not get TV...
Further to the above - Later, we noticed the whitish/green arrow had gone, but when we tried to play the file it played a VERY old programme we once downloaded from IPlayer. But I am sure today's streaming from my PC had finished (because I watched the end of it on the Humax), when it reverted...
Today I streamed a 2hr20min film from my PC to my Humax (Custom firmware version 2.12) and then (from my PC) had the Humax record it to disc as the 'last streamed' file, and it appears on Menu>Video on the Humax, but with a whitish/green 'Right' arrow in front of it in the menu of recorded video...
Success(ish)
I finally tried disabling my BullGuard firewall, and all works okay (with Windows firewall enabled)
I am investigating what BullGuard was blocking, and will report if I find a more detailed answer :D
I have videos on my PC that I would like to watch via my HDR-FOX T2
But what video format must they be in for the Humax to download them?
(I've set up DLNA from my PC and Humax sees the files, but won't display).
Under Portal, the Red Button selects 'Humax', then the menu invites options by number, no 3 being 'Internet Radio' which does not work. However option no 1 is the Non-custom option, which then presents options including 'Internet Radio', and that does work. So I think the answer to your question...
Internet Radio is no longer available via TV Portal : Red Button : Option 3 (I think it used to be).
But can still get it via TV Portal : Red Button : Option 1, then choose from the displayed options.
Am I mistaken? Or has something changed?
I can't find fix-flash-packages, which I think I need to run because I upgraded to the Humax software, and then the custom, resulting in some custom feaatures not working (e.g. portal-xtra-1, and schedule backups recorded as being done when the Humax is in standby and not recording). I got...
My wife just called through that she was initiated a Channel Update - "DON'T" shouted I.
To late, but when it had finished the Recording Schedule was still present and correct (!?)
(Which I had earlier confirmed from my PC whilst the Channel Update was in progress.)
Of course it was the TV...
I have now done more experiments, and I think I now know when this problem occurs.
It happens if the Humax comes out of standby when the Ethernet is not fully fired up.
It seems some CF features then remain unavailable until the Humax has been restarted.
So the problem does NOT occur if the...
Oops! Well I can confirm it does NOT seem to be 'Reminder' that is causing the problem, but there is still a problem :-(
What I did this morning was to manual switch the Humax out of standby, then try CF. I got the menu, but update failed.
It eventually reported:
>>> opkg update Collected...
The ones I was referring to were 'Update package list from Internet' and 'Update all packages' under 'Package Management', however I do not wish to disurb my wife's Olympic viewing to confirm this feature again before my scheduled Humax 'Reminder' wakeup from 'Off' early tomorrow morning. I will...
It seems some custom features will not work if the Humax is switched on by a 'Reminder' setting, but will otherwise work if the Humax is switched 'On' manually. I just mention this because it puzzled me at first.
My old Humax Freeview PVR-9200T had an RF modulator, but it developed a fault (and was not HD)
Anyway, I used to have a little gizmo that did SCART Loopthrough plus RF loopthrough, with a tuneable SCART-to-RF modulator, but unfortunatly that has died :-( So I just switch my old Panasonic VCR...
