We have three 6.5+ year old Fox T2s which are increasingly unreliable with them freezing on a regular basis. The switches on their rears are well used and the annoyance of finding many missed recordings while we have been away is real.
The customised firmware is the only reason we have stuck...
Anyone any thoughts on why the picture has started to freeze on my Fox T2 with the sound continuing similar to how it is in maintenance mode? The box eventually reboots.
I'm running the customised firmware and I installed a new 2TB drive recently which is not showing any errors.
I can no longer connect to my Fox-T2 through either Putty or the web interface. Both report 'Network error: connection timed out'.
I have reinstalled the customised firmware and that has made no difference. The Ethernet cable is plugged in and the box reports that it is connected to the LAN on...
Humax have suggested that I reformat the drive in my 1100S but it holds quite a few recordings.
Checking old posts on here, it appears that recordings cannot be copied off the old drive to be stored on another for transfer back after the format. Is that still the case?
Fixdisk has been running for 3+ hours and I've accepted repairs to probably 3 dozen sectors. It now seems to have stuck. Has it? What do I do now?

Once again, on all three T2 boxes, the channels on COM7, Channel 32, are showing as 'not receiving a signal or signal is too weak' yet I am able to watch them on my LG TV which shows good signal strength and quality.
Nothing here has been changed. It's happened before and corrected itself...
I have had the latest customised firmware installed since it was released and all has worked with minimal hangs. However, today, when I browse to the box at 192.168.178.120 I get the banner across the top of the page which usually holds the various links and the disk free/used space icon but...
I've three FOX T2s and have lost most of the channels on Emley Moor transmitter's channel 32 on all of them. Only Freeview channels 81, 106 and 205 channels are showing broadcasts, the rest, like BBC News HD on 107, report 'no signal or the broadcast is scrambled'.
Oddly enough, my LG TV has...
As the thread title. If I 'delete series' the box reboots. If I delete a single recording it deletes without a reboot.
With some series holding significant numbers of recordings deleting one at a time isn't feasible!
Any thoughts on what the problem might be and, more importantly, a solution?
I've had to run fixdisk and have been left with
'The following file contains a corrupt block and can not be fully recovered.
You may wish to delete it or recover from backup.
debugfs 1.42.13 (17-May-2015)'.
Advice on what to do next would be much appreciated!
Is there a repository for advanced rules from which we can copy and then edit?
I thought I had seen several built into the 'Add pre-defined ruleset' option at the bottom of the Advanced Rules page but there now appears to be only a couple.
If there isn't a store of ready-made rules, would it...
I've spent a long time today trying to get my head round writing advanced rules in RS.
My rule for finding and recording Formula 1 broadcasts looks like
or {title *F1* title {*Formula 1*} title {*Formula one*} synopsis *F1* synopsis {*Formula 1*} synopsis {*Formula one*} } or {lcn 104 lcn 109...
I don't want to record it as it usually clashes with other recordings, but I usually want to see what Newsnight is going to include each evening (sad, I know) so I have to go into the EPG and set a reminder for each and every broadcast.
Is it possible for the customised firmware to be tweaked...
I've found the box has frozen a few times recently but it has rebooted OK.
Now it's failing to boot at various stages in the sequence. Some times it will stick with a blank screen and 'Starting' showing on the front panel, sometimes with the Freesat and Humax logo on screen.
When it does...
I have the customised firmware installed and have been trying to connect it to my FreeNAS box to stream video from the box and to view photographs stored on it but have failed miserably.
Can someone point me to an idiots' guide please?
I've done nothing to change the power on channel but, for the last few days, the box has turned on tuned to the Red Button channel.
I've logged into the box and reset it to 107 but it's still tuning on on Red Button. Disable OTA is set for 04:20 - 04:40 and the only oddity is that the 'delete'...
Management was deleting recordings from her Fox T2 and the display showed 139GB remaining with the wheel rotating. This went on for over an hour so she put the box into standby. When she turned it on again it was still deleting and showing 139GB.
After a few days of not using the box, the...

Will next week's channel changes screw up the recording schedule? The customised firmware provides me with a backup but would this still be of any use if a channel number has changed?
