The Wiki does have a section on folder actions (HERE) i.e. :-

The available folder actions are:

fileunder - following keyword folder, move contents of a root folder to an existing sub folder
fileundercreate - following keyword folder, create a sub folder (if not existing) and move contents of a root folder it

And also example 4 i.e. :-

Example 4)
folder title {Octonauts} action {move "Children/Octonauts/Series 3"} HI = Move the contents of a series created folder to an existing sub folder e.g. from /Octonauts to /Children/Octonauts/Series 3

And Note :-

I've been keeping an eye on sweeper and it doesn't seem to move the folder above. It has been decrypted, the diagnostic runs all the way through but comes up as no match. Do you think he underscore is causing problems perhaps?

Yes, it is because the title action matches against the title of the recording (not the directory name) and I suspect the title uses a colon - MasterChef: The Professionals.

Not sure what you mean, is there something I should change or does the underscore render the sweeper unable to move it?

If you find a recording in that folder on screen and press Info, what is the 'title' of the recording? It's that title that sweeper is matching against in the rule and I suspect it does not really contain an underscore so you should change your rule to match the real programme title.

I think this would be better expressed as "the title action matches against the display title of the recording (not the file name)".

What is the difference between the Encrypted and ODEncrypted flags? I want to move all decrypted recordings into a separate folder for offloading onto a server. This means using Sweeper to wait for the auto-decryption to finish, and then moving files into a preset folder ("My TV") ready for my Server to upload, using Robocopy.

I thought the following would do the trick:

Flag Encrypted action preserve
Genre {Film} action {movecreate "My TV/Films"}
action {move "My TV"}

The 'Genre' is in there to split films off before the upload process & I'm using 'movecreate' because the Robocopy script will delete this 'Films' folder.

Hence the Encrypted/ODEncrypted question!

I'd like to do something similar, not had a chance to play with sweeper yet but I have my folder set to auto decrypt eveything so I can copy via samba like you and then share via my Plex media server, I'd like to wait for decryption to finish then move films to a movies folder and anything else (TV) to a TV folder - is this possible with sweeper ?

Ideally I'd also love to find a way to autorename the series appropriately i.e. I have tons of Doctor who and would like them in TV/Doctor Who/S01 with the files named appropriately i.e. doctor.who.s01.e01.ts etc - but I'm guessing thats going to be manual as dedup and other utils can only work on whats in the EPG data

Encrypted means that it is marked as encrypted by the Humax software - that actually means that it is marked as protected from the normal decrypt-on-copy operation. The ODEncrypted flag means that it is actually encrypted on the disk (OD = on-disk) so is the one you should use in rules that check for decryption.

Is it possible to add something like a pseudo variable called %now which would hold the current hour? The idea behind this is that I do not necessarily want my recordings to be Sweeper'd (Swept!!) away until tomorrow, just in case I'm just recording for timeshifting and watching later today. I could then use

to put anything with a timestamp greater than the current hour (and, by implication, recorded before today) into a Pending folder.

An early morning Robocopy script on my server would then move everything in the Pending folder onto the server.

I've added this to sweeper 1.0.9 - I think I'll use it to file away any single recordings that nobody has watched for a few days into a folder that will then delete them if they are still unwatched a couple of weeks later...
