af123: I just set a recording for Harry Hill on Sat on ITV1HD, and its scheduled it for Family Fortunes? any idea whats happening here?

Looking at the logs, it couldn't find the event in your Hummy's EPG so it fell back to scheduling whatever was on at that time. Could it be a regional issue or is there a bug in the RS code I wonder? It wouldn't be the first GMT/BST problem! Are you running the latest version of the rs package on the HD as there were some timezone fixes in that.

Code:
12/10/2011 12:55:52 Successfully scheduled event.
12/10/2011 12:55:52 Found event - All Star Family Fortunes
12/10/2011 12:55:51 Trying event at the same time on service 17608.
12/10/2011 12:55:51 Trying source service/event ID.
12/10/2011 12:55:51 LCN suggests service 17608.
12/10/2011 12:55:51 Schedule 17609/2425/3/51/ITV1 HD/1318701600
12/10/2011 12:55:51 Processing command 'schedule '

Edit: Family Fortunes was on just before Harry Hill so it's a BST problem.. If you're on the latest version I'll do some testing.

As a test (while my Hummy is on 14:00 - 14:15), I have set a timer for Harry Hill on ITV1HD Saturday and scheduled a reboot. Give it five and see what happens...

EDIT:

Pending has changed from Harry Hill to ITV News and Weather...and won't reboot in time (14:15 sleep).

EDIT, EDIT:

It did reboot in time, but ITV News and Weather is set NOT Harry Hill.
Never mind, every cloud has a sliver lining, Hee hee. (Not a HH fan).

I tried testing that already and mine also scheduled in Vernon. And I already had (and still have) Harry set on series link on ITV1 HD so hopefully that will work.

Definitely a BST/GMT bug then... I'll have a look after work. Thanks for the report/testing.

Cheers for confirming folks.
Is everyone seeing the 15 min difference on ITV1HD on Sat night too? or is that the bug? confused.com

af123, yeah it should be on the latest if nothing has been released since Sunday. I'll be round there tonight to update it if it needs it anyway.
My two boxes are about 30 miles apart so I cant always check them straight away - I should really setup a VPN, but I cant be bothered lol :D.

rshummypkg.org seems to be responding slowly this morning or is that just me - it's not on one of Blackberrys servers is it?

Re: Harry Hill vs. Vernon

I tried last night and couldn't replicate this at all... I'll update the rs package to output some more debug detail later and test again,

I tried last night and couldn't replicate this at all...

To me it looks like the ITV1HD 15 minute shift is throwing it out.
Could it be that the EPG that RS is checking against (on my box maybe) has not been updated to reflect this "change", and so reverts to the show that the EPG says is on at that time?

I've just replicated it on my HDR too.

Hopefully the latest version will fix this.. Could you try again when you get a minute?

To Do List : Linked Programs for Split Movies:

I saw that Toy Story is on CH5 at the weekend and in true Ch5 fashion they've split it with a news bulletin. I think when you set stuff on the box it can see that there is another chunk and offers to get that for you as well - but the RS screen didn't do that. There is a little green link icon next to both entries in the EPG. Would there be room on the To Do list for this to get looked at? I'm not a huge fan of the pop ups when it's for a different program altogether but when it is a split program it's v handy so I get all the film not just the first half. Maybe use the Genre tag to only pop it for films?

[EDIT] Hang on I just clicked on the second chunk to record it and the pop up box had no options except close - does this mean it will record the whole thing? Sorry to have underestimated/doubted your skills af123!!!

You're right - it already automatically schedules both parts of the split event for you : )

If you look at the schedule on the TV and us the right arrow to expand it, it should show both parts there.

With the 100th device registering with the RS portal today, now seems like a good time to launch the Automatic Scheduling feature which has been in beta test up to this point.

The idea of Automatic Scheduling is that you can set up rules to watch the EPG for events that you want to record or for topics that interest you. As new data comes into the EPG 8 days ahead, it is checked against the rules you have set up and that results in either an email alert or a recording being scheduled on your behalf.

I've started a page at http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Remote_Scheduling_Auto which has some examples of what this can be used for on it but not much else yet. I'll flesh it out a bit over the next few days and please feel free to do the same.

I hope you find this new feature useful and as usual post any questions or problems here.

Thanks to those who took part in the beta testing for this and for the valuable feedback they provided.

Belgium man, Belgium!

That sounds like a way to get email alerts without having to fathom how to make the home Hummy connect to your email server.:frantic:
