[rs] Remote Scheduling v1

Not sure if this is relevant, but in the settings on the RS site, the EPG Favourites Group only has None as an option, even if I have a Favourites list created on the HDR.

When I first setup my HDR a few days ago, I didn't create any Favourites list, but I did delete all the undesirable channels within the Channel List. I noticed that the 'Channel Group for EPG' setting within WebIF was set to 'None'.

Last night I did a retune and then added some channels to Favourites 1 which I then selected in the 'Channel Group for EPG' setting within WebIF. However, that did not change any of the options within RS.
 
Since this morning I have tried reverting the HDR to standard firmware, re-installing the custom firmware, deleting and re-creating my rs scheduling account and everything is still the same.

I also tried adding an auto entry for 'Father Brown' which starts in 30 mins. I added a scheduled wake-up event and a reboot. Within a few mins, my HDR rebooted and the wake-up event appeared in the schedule but there's no sign of Father Brown in the scheduled events. Am I missing something?

It wouldn't be anything to do with my region would it (Highlands & Islands)?

When you create a new automatic entry, how long does it take for the matching events to produce pending events in the schedule?

I can manually create pending events by choosing to record something from the epg, and those pending events make their way onto my HDR, but none of the automatic entries seem to be creating any pending events, even though there are several matches.

Think I'm stuck with this now - anyone got any ideas?

I'm out and about at the moment but will have a look later on. Can you post your unique device id from the RS settings page please?
 
It seems that your box hasn't managed to successfully upload a list of tuned-in channels yet. I've reset the RS server end for your device so can you try another rs/chanpush diagnostic?
If it works, you should see a list of channels in the output.
 
When I ran the rs/chanpush diagnostic I could see all the channels in the diagnostic details but not immediately seeing any change on the rs site.

Will check again in the morning.

If it works, the change will be visible straight away. For some reason the channel data upload is failing. This upload includes details of the favourites too so the lack of available favourites is due to the same thing.

In the output you got from the channel push, did you see any output indicating success or any errors?
The last line that I see when I run the diagnostic is Updating...

The server isn't reporting an error processing your upload but it obviously isn't succeeding. Once we find out why I can fix it and everything should start working properly for you.
 
I've turned on some extra debug messages on the server side. Hopefully I'll be able to see what the problem is from the logs overnight.

If I make a change to my channel list and then run the same command I get a long list of channels with this at the end:

So I guess, as you suggested, that it isn't completing the updating.

Any idea why that might be? Could it be a fault with the HDR, or something to do with my internet connection?
 
There was a bug in the RS code. Should be fixed now, thanks for the report. I imagine that a lot of people have been having this problem or seeing stale channel data in the interface.. Could you check whether you can see channels in the drop-down list now?

That's fixed it for me with 303 BBC RB 303 HD now in the drop down list. Still no icon in the RS EPG though.
